Tarot card meaning?

In the spread are the 5 of wands, 5 of swords and 5 of cups...along with The Wheel of Fortune... 5 of sword is in the 'central to the matter' position...5 of wands in the 'unseen influences' position and 5 of cups in the 'me as I really am' position...The Wheel of Fortune is in the 'as others see me' position... Any ideas? 3 of the 5 cards seems to be a message... Thanks!

  1. you are quite right.... seeing those three cards is a strong message, and if those three and the wheel are the only four cards in the spread, it is a message you shouldn't ignore. the fives, in general in the tarot, are all about risk, chance, and possible loss. the center of the matter position (five swords) is about risk (of course) and gloating a win or mourning a loss a bit more than you should... http://www.ata-tarot.com/resource/cards/s05.html the unseen influences (five wands) are a potential fight in the future, but just a silly quabble that could possibly change everyone's opinions about each other. http://www.ata-tarot.com/resource/cards/w05.html you as you really are (five cups) is someone who thinks he/she has lost it all, but doesn't realize there are two full cups behind him or her...!!! not everything's over, not everything's lost, you just need to realize it http://www.ata-tarot.com/resource/cards/c05.html wheel in the as others see you position indicates they see you as a dynamic person, all over everywhere and quite fickle indeed.... make up your mind and take a stand. choose an alliance and stick with it!!!! =P http://www.ata-tarot.com/resource/cards/maj10.html hope i helped and that's a powerful reading.... i hope you keep a record of all your readings. it's SO useful in the future (i can't count the number of times i've referenced my recorded readings) --edit-- witchyme has a point about the multiple meanings.... but the only reason i gave these kind of generic meanings is because 1) i'm not familiar with the intricacies of that spread and 2) those cards in those positions are strange but she's right about a big change in the future.... though does that spread mention anything about the future in the layout of the cards' places?
  2. I do like John's answer but I have found the tarot to have so many different meanings. 5 always represents change to me and to have it come up with the Wheel of Fortune points to a big change that's outcome hasn't been decided yet. The change can be good or bad but right now you are in a blessed moment where you can choose, depending on how and in which direction you direct your energy. It sounds like a major life changing event coming up for you. I would study the meaning of the 5 of cups because that is probably where the key to making the change a good one is. BTW, where any of the cards reversed?
  3. Get away from the Wheel of Fortune and try Jeopardy or Price is Right..
