A question about Tarot Cards?

Okay, I know a limited amount about Tarot Cards and I was inclined to get a reading, I feel however that my reading was "altered" to say the least. I started talking to this Wiccan guy online and had talked for a few days (this guy is like obsessed with me and wants me to leave my boyfriend so I can be with him, which is not happening!!!). Anyways here is my reading, I was wondering what is the likelihood that I would get all these cards...something just seems a bit off.... 1st card: Temperance 2nd card: The Tower 3rd card: Death 4th card: The Hanged Man 5th card: Justice 6th card: The Fool 7th card: The Star 8th card: Eight of Wands 9th card: Nine of Wands 10th card: Ten of Wands I mean, I am sure it it possible to get them all, but I just don't think I would be the one out of however many to get all those "bad" cards. Or am I just doomed in this relationship?

  1. Wow, that's weird. I just had a reading and got the exact same cards except the ten of wands was the ace of pentacles!
  2. Tarot cards dont work they are just cards the relationship is reliant on love and Communication, just do that and you'll be fine
  3. You have the answer within you. Trusting in Tarot cards will open your eyes to the possibilities that the cards suggest, but will blind you to the other possibilities that may exist or that may come into existence. Don't narrow your vision. If you believe in God, pray about it. If not, meditate quietly and think about it.
  4. Despite what you read online, the cards mean something personal for each person. Look at the cards, hold them in your hands and try to "feel" what they are trying to tell you. If you don't trust the reading then do another one.The death card doesn't have to mean the death of a person. It could mean the death of certain period in your life, the death of past feelings that were holding you down...really anything. To me that card has always meant a new beginning somewhere in my life. The only person who knows the true meaning of those cards is you. I would recommend doing another reading but you should keep this in mind. The cards don't tell you what is going to happen. They tell you what will happen if your current situation doesn't change. If you think they mean your relationship will fall apart then try to figure out why and change it.
  5. What IS unusual is that you got 7 Major Arcana cards in one spread. Major Arcana card indicate BIG inflences/happenings and most spreads will bring up a couple/few but I have never seen 7 in all my years of reading Tarot. BTW, there are only 2 "bad" cards on your list but they need to be read in relation to the position of other cards.
  6. What "bad" cards? I would say that if you asked about your current relationship, YOU are experiencing spiritual awakening and growth and are following your guidance in that area. Things around you seem to be moving at light speed but you are coming out better for it. The final 10 Wands cautions you to not take on too much to weight yourself down with negative doubts and images, but it is a CAUTION and not written in stone. If you have been told that this reading means the end of your current relationship, it really has nothing to do with that. It has to do with your path and though things will change and grow as you get those brilliant flashes of clarity (the Tower!) you are really in overall great shape. I feel that you are on the right path. Please watch out for idiots you meet online!
  7. i wouldnt worry too much. they all sound like 'bad' cards but theyre not. not even death. temperance means something from your past. the tower is unexpected events makes you distrust yourself. death means new beginnings. the hanged man means your life feels upside-down. justice is something is achieved which makes you think a bit more about your destiny. the fool is hope. the star is your faith and future. finally all those wands should give..
  8. A lot of major acarna cards in this reading! Also it`s very rare the death card means just that. The hanged man is nothing to worry about either. Least you never got 10 swords, not nice! I don`t think that's a bad reading at all, quite a positive one. Major changes and decisions to be made! enjoy your life x
  9. It 'feels' a bit off to me...from a psychic's perspective. Since you didn't get to pull the cards and you didn't get to see him pull them, you can't be sure that he didn't just arrange them the way he wanted to. You also need to know the cards placements and what kind of spread he was using. If it was a reading, did he actually delve into what each card meant or did he just give you the list? Here is a list for the major acana: http://www.free-tarot-reading.net/meanings/ I would go to tarot.com and do your own sample reading online. http://tarot.com/tarot/select.php?tab=sample They have very accurate readings. If you notice a pattern, then maybe you can give the reading he gave you more validity. People who have ulterior motives are not good to get readings from. Even if they don't fake it, their energy can negatively effect the reading. Also, trust your gut. If it doesn't feel right, then it probably isn't right.
  10. None of those are 'bad' cards. I wouldn't even give a second glance to that reading or the guy if you don't trust his objectiveness in divinatory techniques. Why are you even asking him to read about your relationship if you know his thoughts on it? You'd be better off just picking up your own deck really. By the way, it is EXTREMELY rare to have 7 out of 10 cards be major arcana. Average you only get one or 2, maybe 3. Otherwise it's basically indicating that you're going through all of life's major thresholds (even ones that may counter-act each other) at the same time.
  11. I think you should get a reading from some one in person .Like another opinion.
  12. With a half-dozen interesting answers here on the meanings, I'm going to approach your answer in another way. Math. Assuming you don't take in account the order - especially the 8, 9, and 10 of wands.... The probablility of getting this reading is about 1 out of 100,000. And, if you consider forward and reversed, you multiple that by the chance of getting 10 forward cards in a row (2 to the 9th) . I've done thousands of readings for over 30 years and did Master's work in statistics and seen some pretty amazing sets of cards that strain the limits of probability - but this one is a bit over the top. I'd say that whoever gave you this reading made it up or didn't shuffle a new deck. Ignore the reading and the reader and e-block the guy if he was the reader.
