How true is Tarot reading?

Is there anyone out there who knows the real truthness behind tarot reading? I had one done last week and although very general it did come up with some accurate results.

1. Truthiness? No. I can tell you the truth. Tarot has a chance level of accuracy. As you said yourself, the answers were very general, so there was a high probability that they would be correct. I mean, who doesn't have problems in their lovelife every once in a while?
2. It is absolutely nothing more than random, nonsensical rubbish. If you believe any of that you are wasting brain cells. Your body would be better off gifted for research.

8. I have a friend that used to do readings. Her take on it was that it often became a self-fulfilling prophecy, in that it started ideas in people's minds and they behaved a certain way because of what they had been told rather than it being some sort of preview.
9. It depends on the person doing the reading...there are many gifted readers but also many who just tell you what they think you want to hear by picking up clues from the things you tell them and if they get you to answer questions. Some even just read out of a book anyone can do that, while the gifted ones can pick up other things about you without you saying a word. The best way to find out if your reader was gifted or not is to ask others who have had readings with that person before. I have had a few readings done myself the worst was one who just read every word out of a book and tried to make it fit, the best who tild me my grandmothers name and date of birth without me ever meeting her before and she didn't live in the same town as myself so no-one had told her.
