  1. It sounds to me like you are heading into a positive area in your life. This is a good thing!! The only problem is in what position did that card appear and what relation does it have on the other cards in the spread? It does not matter how many times you read your cards in a week/day/month...what matters is the frame of mind you are in during the reading and what is the "overall" outcome of ALL the cards in the spread (layout). If you are worried or feeling down while reading, the cards will reflect that. If you are in an "up" mood, that is what the cards will show. The outcome from any reading is nothing more than a reflection of the general state of mind you are in at the time the reading is done. The future is not yet written and the cards are just a tiny glimpse into what "might" occur.
  2. I agree with the answer before this one. If you want, e-mail me the description of the layout and what other cards were involved and maybe Ill take a stab at it.
  3. I used to read tarot cards as well as astrological charts. I studied their origins and everything about them. They aren't reality. Think about it. How can a ball of gas millions of light years away, affect your life on a daily basis? What happens is this - If you went to someone who read your cards and one of the things they told you was that if a red car passed you today, you should buy a lottery card, you would be on the lookout for a red car that day. Any other day many red cars probably would go by you, but because someone pointed it out to you, you would be more aware of them. Then you would buy a lottery ticket. If you won, you would be totally convinced that the person who told you that knew what they were talking about. What you don't realize is that there is a possibility of your winning anyway - not necessarily a large amoiunt, but the chance is there. If you didn't win, you would make up some reason in your mind why you didn't win. Maybe you should have bought the ticket somewhere else, or maybe the car should have been a truck, or maybe they meant only a car going east and west. It is the power of suggestion mixed with gullibility and a little chance thrown in... With people reading your future, you also tend to try to live your life to fit the prediction. It isn't a true science.
  4. Taking an individual card out of context from a whole lay-out makes it awfully difficult to see how it affects your current situation. But if you know your cards well, then you know that the suit of cups (or cauldrons) represents emotions. The 6 of cups suggests that you should release past emotional baggage, and prepare for new (or renewed) loving relationships. Now is the time to forgive past grievances. Accept a partner for who they are. And finally, there is a chance of re-uniting with old friends.
  5. Find a teacher, join a tarot group. Put some time into learning a new skill.
  6. the book.? place it in a shelf ro collect dust. or use it to level a table or something like that. the Tarot will speak to you. but you must allow them to. the cards have traditional meanings. but if you get too caught up in them you loose the true power of them. meditate with the cards. focusing on one card each day. just a few minutes a day will begin to unlock the cards for you. and their meanings will come naturaly to you. the cards can have very different meanings depending on the time of year. and the place that they fall in the layout. read the cards not the book. the cards is what you are looking for.
