Who knows how to read tarot cards?

Is it difficult to learn?

Public Comments

  1. It takes much study as you need to learn the symbology on each card. Many people do intuitive readings without using the "by the book" symbology. There is a Tarot course on http://www.magickaschool.com
  2. Like anything else worthwhile, it takes effort and practice. It's not difficult per say if it is something you are interested in, if you enjoy what you're doing it won't feel difficult.
  3. The important question is whether tarot cards have any value. Do those pretty cardboard pictures have any more significance than any other bits of cardboard & ink?
  4. It easy to learn if you have the patience for it.....You can find many resources to learn how to interpret readings.
  5. i am still learning....why dont u start reading from online sources...the best is lotus tarot....gives answers straightforward. otherwise, there is facade...n also ifate...
  6. I wouldn't say it's difficult, but it does take practice. There are many good online courses...Magicka School, Lotus Tarot, Learntarot.com, aeclectic.net for starters
  7. Hello Jen I have studied the tarot for over 20 years & I also teach via correspondence course & a yahoo group which your welcome to join. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/holisticpathstowisdom/join Yes they can be hard to get to grips with, but they are a wonderful tool & help not only with psychic growth but also personal & spiritual development. Do not expect to have an understanding of them over night, they are best approached as a long & pleasant journey. Pam
  8. Here's a good site to help you learn about tarot cards: http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/
  9. There are many different forms of the Tarot available. Some make great use of symbols, including the Kabbalah and other sources. Others are much more simple. Most of the courses available use the Rider Waite deck, which has been around for some time. If you want to take a course, this is the deck which will have the most information available. If you're going to do things by yourself, find a deck which you can relate to. They all come with books which explain the artist's symbols and can give you insight into the cards. Using the cards for yourself, they are an amazing tool to discover the workings of your psyche. The cards don't "predict the future", they are about possibilities and energy. They will tell stories about potentials and history. You can't get next week's lottery numbers.
