Does anyone know if psychic advice can be harmful and if so how?

1. Can it be...yes. Is it always...no. Beware of anything that opens you up to the suggestions of anything but Gods' will. If you need answers the beast advice I can give is to pray, and then LISTEN for the answer, it will come. If you start asking someone other than God for answers, then someone other than God will give them to you. Do you really want to take the chance on whom that will be? Think about it. That also goes for Tarot cards, Ouija boards, etc. They open doors that are best left closed.
2. There are those who insist that any and all Psychic Gifts are the work of the devil and therefore should not be trusted. This despite the fact that the Christian God had his share of prophets who could do some of these same things. Those of us who follow some version of the Pagan Religions or the Eastern Philosophies believe that there is nothing wrong for someone so Gifted to help others by the use of these abilities, so long as there is recompense made to the one so talented. To paraphrase from the history of the Nordic Rune Stones, "A gift demands a gift", so always be prepared to pay the price asked and never haggle, for that is the way it is when seeking knowledge. Whether it is dangerous or not, comes from what you do after hearing it. If you try to blindly follow all that may be said, you are restricting free will and can come to harm. Like in so many other aspects of life, it is another kind of advice to be considered as part of whatever else you may learn for a situation. It is not something set in stone, unchanging. Keep that in mind and you should be fine.

Hi and God Bless, im assuming your christian. to answer your question we must ask God what he says. and because this is such a deep issue im going to try and give short facts based upon the word of God. please read Deuteronomy 18:10,11 i will paraphrase "there shall not be found among you anyone/who practices witchcraft or soothsayer or one who interprets omens/or one who conjures spells/medium/or a spiritist. so yes it is harmful and you can open your self up to dark and unfamiliar spirits. and remember satan is a counterfeiter! but dont let that get you down because God, as always is so good! and just as there were phrophets of old who spoke as the spirit moved them, we who have recieved Jesus Christ have been given the Holy Spirit! that being said go to 1 Corinthians 14:1 "Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy." that word prophesy is what you should seek out. but be carefull giving a prophecy or recieving one should be done by someone who understands this gift and who operates in this gift. i hoped this has helped God Bless.
5. It can be harmful if it takes you away from your own intuition or if you start living for the future rather than worrying about the present. But...I feel it can be very helpful in that you know there is something more to life than what you can see.
