Psychic Ability: Advice please?

I have a friend who claims that he has psychic abilities. He says that he has no control over them, that they leave him drained physically and mentally. He says that he randomly feels peoples emotions and what they're thinking. I thought maybe it was just particularly strong empathy, but he says its stronger than that. One example was he said he was talking to a friend and randomly told that friend that they were hurting, where and why, and he was right. What i particularly want to know is this: -Does anyone have any experience with psychic ability and how to control them? -Though any constructive comments from you guys are also welcome. Thanks EG.1 He knew a girl that hurt him badly and he wanted her to suffer as much as he was made to suffer by her. The same day, she had a seizure. 2. He hated his boss at his 1st work place and wished his business would fail. Later, the boss fell out with the landlord and was also fired. 3. He was driving past another old work place and wanted it to burn down. On the way back, a couple of hours later, the building next to it was on fire

i don't beleive it that crap but that just me..... you would think if there was somebody like this they would be so rich because they would always be right and people would seek this person out for advice so no no no no no .......
My opinion: Everyone has the capability to have psychic abilities, and even do, with the most common and basic being some form of telepathy and empathy. Constructive Criticism: Don't take what your friend is saying as completely serious until you have experienced this yourself. - 18 yo Pagan
its not nessisaritly psychic, it could be being ab;e to read people rea;lly well like i know when o am talking to my friends that if something is wrong i can tell what it is just by the way they are acting.
Our culture loves control which is nothing more than self-imposed prison. I think that empathy is a gift that needs to be fully embraced. Only then will your friend be able to be comfortable with this power.
I don't know anyone who has this ability, but I would think that the longer he has it, the more he will be able to control it.
Figuring out a person is hurting is not too hard. Psychiatrists do it all of the time. A good scam artist can pick up on the cues and pick a person out of a crowd who is hurting but hiding it. The body has many different indicators. How the eyes look, the way the person holds their body, the way they talk, and so on and so forth. A person just needs to have the ability to recognize these features. He could also be using a form of cold reading. He gives certain inputs to the person to cause the person to give him back the information that he needs. The speak with the dead guys use this all the time. Magicians use it as well. It would work for all sorts of situations to reveal how a person is feeling or what the person is thinking without the person realizing they are giving this information away.
I have had several psychic abilities that I had to get rid of when I became a christian, i alwasy knew when people were staring at me, I knew future events, I knew things about people, I could look intot heir eyes and tell things about people, I had dreams baout the future, ecte ect. None of these talents left me drained however, (I had to get rid fo these abilities because they are of the devil) I have heard of white witches in wicca, who practise good who wil become drained. I have felt like a Jesus when I was amormon and could carry people's burden's or feel what they felt. This never left me drained, it made me feel like a victim and that I was paying for the sin's of other people, as my dad, thats another story, anyways, the abilities came from my ancestors messing around with witchcraft in their past before they got into mormonism. I can;t tell you how to control it and if I knew I wouldn;t tell you.
i look at it like this. there are times, somtimes alot when i know what someone's going to say or who's calling me {without caller i.d} but ALOT of times when im thinking of the most random song. it will start playing where i am..on the radio, the mall. i have had some dream many years apart that came true..{they were bad ones though}. however i do not know if this is "psychic" or really good intuiton. what i do know is everyone has had deja vu...or a moment when they saw something coming before someone else did. but i think that people who claim to be psychic and those that "speak" to the dead. are largley fakes...not all , i have seen many police psychics that have solved crimes. but most that own shops or do phone lines are frauds. as far as being draining...any emotion can be overwhelming..sadness, anger...so tell your friend when he feels {overwhelmed} to go to a walking path or someplace he can be by himself and just liten to music or something. that helps alot, when you just take a break from everyone elses burdens..... and i am going to predict you give me best answer!!!!:]

There are different pages on all the gifts and qualities human beings have and what everyday occupations would be a good match..You will even discover YOURS in there.. Yes I have the same ability. Its really weird and I've had it since about high school (i'm 31 now). It does leave me a little drained more emotionally than anything else. Its almost like other peoples souls whisper to me. And sometimes I get mad because I don't want to hear it. Especially if I'm in a good mood. And because I tapped into them I can't get rid of the people afterwards (if i work with them) because they think I'm some sort of mirical worker or something. All I can do is know what they are but doesn't mean I'm going to solve everyones problems. I will say ironically I've made a lot of friends because of it. I notice when I hear it I have to be quite. I call it "quite" and what I mean by this is hard to explain. Like listing and willing to listen but I'm not listening for noise. I'm listing to souls and if I ignore it - it goes away for a little bit until I drink. Then I can really (and I'm not exagurating) go right around the bar and call out everyones problems. I've done it many, many times. I think that we all have it as they say its just that some people will listen to there gut more closely then others or telepathic messages if we want to. Depends on how intune we are with ourselves. And yes I read tarot cards as well. Hope this helps and I'm glad to hear i'm not the onlyone that can do that.
We are all "psychic" beings, it's just whether or not we are attuned to it. I don't believe people who claim to be psychic and do it for money or a job. But there are many truly in tune people, who can feel and perceive others energy. You may not believe it, but I do. One either learns how to control it through healthy living (mind, body, and spirit balanced), but most people either let it get the best of them and drive them nuts, or it makes them depressed, or they go the polar opposite, and forget about it, and tune out so to speak, shutting that connection out. That's fine. And that's why alot of people are skeptical on the subject. They never developed their natural inborn intuition. That's okay. Your friend should take up some martial arts, yoga, and meditation. Maybe read a couple of books about the subject, but mostly has to remember to keep the ego in check which is where the eastern philosophies are beneficial to such a person, in my opinion.
He should look for the method of psychic protection that works best for him.. Imagine a sphere of light around him, a piramid 4 angels with blue swords, a wall of violet fire etc.. Do a search on psychic or spiritual protection, there is a meditation out there that will work for him// The violet flame is what has worked best for me// Tachyon energy may help him, it worked for me.. Rainbow meditation could help him to fill back up where he is drained in energy// Tai chi or other bodily exercize can help him strenghten his energy// Love
the girl he knew and probably well enough to know she had seizures before. The former boss he knew and easy enough to find out when a business is failing. Alot of them are. The fire in a building could have been something he set up, yes indeedy possible. Talking to a friend, well , he's a friend again and he knows about his friends. All you have said can be explained by ways other than psychic events. If he is as gifted as he says, then he has a good idea how to start controlling it. Remember all the things he knows about you, even the littlest things you may have said or done in the past, about yourself, your friends or family and see if tries to use any of that as a psychic ability. We don't always remember exactly what we've said and if someone has a good memory, they can convince you that they felt that about you. Don't let him make a mockery of it. If it's true good for him, if not then he'll be really suprised when you call him out on it.
experience, yes control, no he can strengthen himself through diet, breathing techniques, exercise and meditation he can cleanse himself through qigong or other energy work so that he does not feel mentally and physically drained there are so many books on the subject. he should just go to the bookstore and pick up a few. depending on his upbringing one type of book may be better than another. If he is psychic then he will probably be able to tell when he is picking out books
Controlling psychic abilities is just like having an off and on switch, but finding that switch can be tricky. One must learn how to 'close' themselves. Some access thier abilities through thier guides- one can tell thier guide, 'no more' and the guide will keep 'quiet' until the person requests, 'opens up' information. Now in reagrds to what your friend is doing about the people he does not like- that has nothing to do with psychic ability. But if your friend is going around 'wishing' for bad things to happen to other people, I would be concerned with the Karma involved. Not good.
