1. its not a discrete thing! its an intuitive thing. its not a mechanical mechanism, its a way of communicating with your greater self, and sometimes outside help, but mostly your own self.
2. Tarot cards: Find a match or other lighter and set these cards on fire. Do not claim to be something that you are not. Everybody wins!
3. Your best information will come from books that have been written on the subject. There are several on the market that will explain the cards themselves and the meanings of the cards. A good book will also give you insight to how the cards interact with each other. The sequence of the cards and the layout will change the information that you have in front of you when reading the cards. Check out the New Age section at your local bookstore or library.
4. Decks usually come with basic descriptions, but it's mostly intuitive, you can buy books with different spreads, I have those in case someone wants something different. But this isn't paint by numbers, if you want advice while learning go to someone who does readings. It's a form of divination, an art, a gut thing, there's no one way to do it, as no two readings are alike.
