1. You can purchase them at Borders Books and Music, Barnes and Noble, or any occult shops you may know of. The Thoth deck is about the only one worth purchasing.

6. It is something to do with the cards themselves. The standard cards are minor arcana(Ace, K,Q,J,etc.) The major arcana are the other cards 0 - 21like the Fool, Tempest and etc.
7. The major arcana deal with more spiritual matters; the minor arcana are more to do with day-to-day life. At least, that's how I've always understood them. You can buy tarot cards in many places, even online at Amazon. There are a lot of decks out there. Do some research online to see which one might resonate with you. I use the new Palladini deck.

9. The four suits of the minor arcana correspond to the four castes: peasant, citizen, clergy and nobility and the four aristotelian elements(earth, water, air, fire). The non-numbered suit cards represent the crossfertilization between the suits. The major arcana repesents the connections between the states in the tree of life as found in the kaballa. The minor arcana show a certain state within a process while the major arcana show a development path.
