Tarot card help?
i have a set of tarot cards, and also a book that came along with it. The book tells me the major arcana upright and reversed, but for the minor, it only tells me the upright, does it have anything for the reversed? or does it mean it both ways. Befor it explaines the cards indivuadly, it says what the whole suit means, ands also upside down, but, is it the same for each card reversed? ahhaha i found it thanks

- I do not know for sure, but I believe usually the reverse meaning of a card is almost the opposite of the normal meaning. I would suggest browsing your local book store for a book that more thouroughly explains the minor arcana. I wish I could be of more help, but my divination tool of choice is the runes, I know very little of the cards. I do know however, that the major arcana are generally plenty to do a reading, and not many people bother to use the minor arcana at all.
- The reversal of cards is a fairly new idea. Originally it didn't matter. But, if you want to use reversals, think of them as opposites of the meanings of the card. Now, I disagree with the answer that you should disregard using the minor arcana. Those cards are the supports to the major arcana. Especially since you're new to the ideas, you need to work with as much information as possible. I've been using cards for quite some time now, and know many people that use cards, with reversals and without, but always with the minor arcana. It depends on you if you want the reversals...you might want to look them up on the internet, or pick up a book.
- The meaning for a reversed card usually is not the same. Some of the card can become better if it was a reversed one, some can become your nightmare...
- Hello The study of the reversed cards is best left to those who fully grasp the upright as it means that you are studying a 156 card deck! The upright alone can be confusing enough. Pam
