How much time should you leave between tarot readings?

I am learning tarot and would be interested in knowing if there are 'rules' about how frequently you do readings for people, that sort of thing? I read my husband's cards yesterday and wonder if it unlucky/ invalid to read them too often- any ideas? thanks

  1. I don't know, but I can see a another 9\11 before it happen through a Crystal ball.
  2. My friend's friend did me a reading recently and said to come back for another in about three months or so, so about four per year :) You can do yourself a little mini reading every day though, you know, like a basic little five card cross spread
  3. I don't think it matters so much about the time between readings if he is asking a different question. Remember though that you do need to leave some time to consider their response and for events to unfold. If you ask the same questions every night how will you assess the cards' responses and accuracy? I don't see any problem if you need practice in reading to do more frequent readings for your husband or yourself...you can always ask something general like "what do I need to be aware of at the moment?" or "please provide me with your guidance and wisdom". I've never heard of any set rule or time limit, but I'm also still a student. Blessed Be!
  4. My rule of thumb is a week, because it gets both addictive and confusing- if you want the practise do tarot readings for fictional people or celebrities and watch to see if anything comes out in the news. certainly don't do your own more than once a week - not as a full spread anyway. I thought you meant time between readings professionally - I can and have done readings back to back all day but it really takes it out of you and you can get very emotionally exhausted if you book people in give yourself at least half an hour to lie down meditate, do yoga whatever have a cup of tea and let that lot drain out of you.
  5. I read the cards for many, i would at least a couple of months, someone i know does their own everyday, which is pointless, the cards must not control the person, and I'm sure you know they are tell the path of someone if they continue on the path their on. having read the cards for a number of years, i know let spirit tell me the meaning, along with my own knowledge, people tell me I'm spot on, if your like me half the time you don't have a clue what your talking about, but it makes sense to the person having the reading, I just wish we could do true reading for ourselves that would be nice. Love & Peace
  6. Every single decision you ever make should be based on the tarot cards, so there should never be more than a two second break between shuffles.
  7. Hello As a reader i will not 'read' for another for at least 3 months, preferably 6 on the same issue. As a tarot teacher I advise student to go to them every day. For personal guidance I use them for meditation every day. So it depends on the persons intent & motive for wishing a reading. Pam join ~ Practice Tarot. Psychic Development. Clairvoyancy. 8. I agree with Pam in that it depends on what situation you are using the cards for. I've read that as a rule of thumb, another reading can be done as soon as there is new development in the situation or if the situation has changed after the previous reading. Also, sometimes the cards are telling you something totally different than the initial question asked. When that is the case, then you can do a second reading right after to get your initial question answered. You can read more about it in "The Basics" section at http://yourtarotcards.blogspot.com Good luck with your learning!
