Do you believe in tarot readings? Is the gay culture more apt to believe?
I know that I am a believer in tarot and ghosts and all that but how does everyone else feel about it?

- just bcuz i am a woman and a lesbian does not mean i have to buy in to every bit of mystical nonsense that comes along.
- Your question will seem offensive to a lot of people here.
- i believe it caus my house is haunted and it freeks me out caus i can hear children running in my hallway and my glass thing get knocked off of shelvs so i dont buy it any more (and yes i am gay)
- Only the pretentious ones who think that it's a good stereotype to play along with btw - if you're stupid enough to believe that a deck of cards can tell your future, then you deserve to have your money stolen by gypsies
- there is a HUGE difference between believing that a reading of the Tarot will tell you something about your life and that a reading of the Tarot PREDICTS your future. you see, the Tarot is based on interpretation. YOUR interpretation. So, if I did a reading for you and interpreted your past/present/future, you would likely say "Shwaaah?" BUT if you are allowed to look at each card and make up your own mind (some cards basically say "You like red" or "You don't like red"), you can create a very BELIEVABLE prediction of your own future. what this has to do with gay or not, I don't know. many of my gay friends over the years were very religious... some were not at all... a few were stone-dead stupid... a few nerds... a couple athletes... HELL, I think I just realized that gay people are just PEOPLE! oh, no, I am going to Hell.
- I've been reading cards for over 20 years and I can tell you it's not the cards you need to trust; it's the reader. I don't think any one group is more or less prone, but I do see how a culture that prides itself on being open minded might be more apt to utilize these valuable tools in life. Tarot should be used to help a person see options, not predict things. It is a guidance tool when used correctly. Misused, it is little more than a parlor game.
- i personally own a few decks, but as has been said here, it is more for letting you see the options, and for me, sometimes what to look out for. but nothing predicts. sorry to tell you.
- yes i believe. matter of fact i read cards...its not like the old days....mysterious gypsy lady in a wagon at the fair...sucking up your money...yes friends...your insecuritys and vulnerability will cost you.....nowadays its more like a counseling session...no mysterious dark stranger BS......at least the way i read its like counseling. ive been told that i am quite good....my fave deck is the morgan-greer deck....just love those cards. as for the gay community being more apt to believe? i couldnt say.....i never catagorize people when i read for them...people are just people to me....with all our brilliance and brain-dead moments.....the good, the bad and the in between! oh yes, and being a woman, i never let logic interfere with my emotional outbursts! lol
- As a scientist (albeit a gay one), unless you can show me proof and evidence of the tarot doing anything at all, I cannot believe in it. Unless everything is pre-destined, and we have no free will, no predictive system based on chance can ever be true.
- I think everyone should believe in tarot readings. And for a mere twenty-five dollars via pay pal, I will happily tarot you.
- According to the bible they are real. Isn't that interesting.
