What is your view on mental and emotional healing?

I am not proud of the way I acted this weekend I was very impatient and unloving to my nephew and niece, I apologized to the parties involved but I felt like the lowest from of life on the planet. I felt led to pray and ask God to forgive me on my sins and I wept and I asked God to give me the power and the strength to fogive others including myself. I surrendered everything to the Lord and I felt relief and peace and I feel I can go forward in God. My question is in Biblical times people were healed out in the open by Jesus and were delivered from thier infirmities. Does God work in other ways like when I am in my prayer closet and in secret as the book of Matthew? How come the Lord does not heal in the same way as when he walked the earth and what is your view on mental, spiritual and emotional healing?

  1. You said you felt relief and peace. How do you think that happened? The Lord does not heal in the same way because He has ascended to his Father. He does promise to send a comforter. The Holy Spirit does offer mental, spiritual, and emotional healing when we pray in the Spirit. "In" has the same meaning as "in"the room. In the Spirit we are each God's adoptive children, brothers and sisters to Christ. You are blessed by God, and you can be sure he is pleasd with you. You are forgiven. Now that your hand is on the plow you should not look back to the incident with your nephew and niece.
  2. What better way to prove that you are God than to instantly heal the sick, cause the blind to see, and to raise the dead. These were the promised signs of the Messiah. Imagine Jesus arriving in Jerusalem proclaiming to be the Son of God, and that was it. No outward signs at all. Just a man making outrageous claims with no proof. He did it then for a reason and gave this gift to the apostles. Once this was complete that was the end of the times of miracles. Not to say that God does not heal this day and time, I believe he does, just not under a tent with so-called faith healers. We should not be concerned with signs and wonders. His Grace is sufficient enough for the day.
