Do you believe that people can predict the future?

Psychics are used by many police forces. Do you think some people have a keen sixth sense?

6. Yes it is possible to predict the future, but incorrect to do so, I dont know about police using psychics, but yes sixth sense does exists in people with highly developed consciouness. But otherwise people who do not have faith in god try to predict future
7. No, of course not. There's no such thing as future prediction, ESP, ghosts, gods, or any other woolly-headed mumbo jumbo. People like to believe in these things because they make life more interesting, give us a sense of purpose and allow us to avoid the cold certainty of our mortality. Stop dwelling on make-believe and start living.

10. No, with a caveat: I believe that people can develop their senses and perceptive abilities to extraordinary degrees. It is fairly well established that most people subvocalize their "silent" thoughts. We think in words, and even when we aren't speaking out loud, there are subtle sounds, muscle shifts and expression changes that someone with acute observational powers might be able to pick up ... it might seem like telepathy, even. Also, the ability to sense non-verbal cues - posture, muscle tension, pupil dilation, blush response, sweat production - could allow a careful observer to read the emotions of another. Also, the ability to catalog, retain and examine minutiae might allow such a person to "predict" events because of a multitude of tiny clues overlooked by the less skilled observer. So, no, I don't believe that people can peer into a crystal ball or a cup of tealeaves and tell you what to wear to the ball next Saturday, but I do believe that there are levels of perception above and beyond what most of us use on a day to day basis. Put another way, I believe some people have a "keen five senses."
11. .For me as a christian, I know that people can predict the future because the bible is full of it; and even a whether forecast is a prediction of d future. I've had things predicted about me and they came 2 pass (I call that prophesy).

13. it is possible in predicting the future. everyone can predict. but if you ask know the future. then its different. police using prediction is more of knowing human instinct. just like a logical patern except this is human action
14. prediction of the future comes from past experience and knowledge of the past and present. like the prediction of weather. that psychic stuff is a series of clever traps that they lay out while they talk. For instance, if you talked to a psyhic, they may say your father isnt here with you. That could mean hes dead, overseas, gone for a bit, or just that. he is not beside you at the moment. However the person will respond based on his actual situation. Should his father be dead. the psychic can ask about other the mother and maybe siblings, since they say they need to gather some information. Of course the whole father thing already surprised you and got your attention. They can then go on to say, you have had a hard past and sad childhood. Well, anyone dead parents or living alone would be going to hard times. They can also say general things, such as you think alot about other people and what they think of you. Everyone does that so of course you would say yes and be amazed. Simple knowledge of people and society allows them to easily guess your past present and future. Of course there are cases that go wrong and those people stop believing and trying it. But for those few cases that go well , they have created believers.
15. Some people can tell the past and/or read the present BUT no one, absolutely no one can predict the future. This is the wonder of being God's creation on this Earth - we all have the choice to decide what will be our future.
16. Yes, there are a lot of phonies out there but there are people who can. It is not an exact science because people can always change what happens. Kind of like weather predictions, a meterologist can tell you what the weather will most likely be like. I have a friend who is a tarot reader who has predicted many things that have come to pass.

18. Well, I dont believe in those phony baloney "look into the crystal ball" kind of people, but I do believe that everyone has their moments with ESP. I get Deja vu sometimes even though I have never even been to the place or seen the person etc. because I dreamt about it. It is weird.
