Can anyone guess what city/town this is in Georgia?

its a few hours drive from Atlanta, near the coast but not necessarily on the coast, and in the late eightees they were making a film there about the army and racism? This is all the information I have. I am trying to ghost-write an autobiography for a famous healer/psychic but her memory is not what it once was!

2. "Glory" was filmed partially on Jekyll Island, Georgia! And I think that movie fits that description. I don't remember anything much about it, but it is about the army and the main people in it are african american.
