Do you think an increasing number of people are being taught to commune with false spirits today ?

Through encouragement of wishy-washy thinking and the use of occult techniques ? Today the public in general have lost all confidence that the Word of God is telling us the truth on this subject regarding Satan and the Fallen Angels, or, as the Apostle Paul puts it, "wicked spirits in heavenly places."--See Ephesians 6:12, margin. And what has been the result? People have lowered their guard against Spiritism, Occultism, and evil influences in general. They have allowed their curiosity to lead them to investigate such subjects as Astrology, U.F.O.s, Aliens, Psychic Readers, Hypnotism, Magic, Wicca, Ouija boards, so-called "games" such as "Dungeons and Dragons, etc. Others seek out more "sophisticated" (?) sources of enlightenment and empowerment over self and others. For example, the New Age movement is very popular among the elite, and people turned off by Churchianity. Today "channelers" have replaced spirit mediums of old and "channelers' weekend retreats" have replaced "spiritualistic seances." The end result is the same however; they think they are communicating with dead humans, when actually they are being deceived by demons, fallen angels, who impersonate the dead. Other ways that the demons have found expression in society is through abject and obscene use of horror, violence, sex, and materialism through the various electronic and print media of television, radio, videos, billboards, movie theaters, computer software, 900 telephone numbers, magazines, newspapers, music, pulp novels, and soon, "virtual reality" technology. Yes, sadly enough, Hollywood, Madison Avenue, and the Entertainment Industry, driven by profits (greed) have mostly left morality, decency, and anything akin to reverence, swirling in the dust of the ever accelerating drive for sensual gratification. But, are we surprised? Not when we view the situation from the Word of God. Paul tells us that Satan is the god (ruler) of this world (Acts 26:17, 18; 2 Corinthians 4:4) and has blinded the minds of the people. Some serve Satan directly, but the vast majority indirectly, unwittingly, because they are mentally blinded as to the real state of affairs. Elsewhere, Paul declares it would become worse in the last days, here is how he describes it: "This know also, there will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God."--2 Timothy 3:1-4, New International Version. Do you see this increasingly around you ? The increase in confusion and pandemonium in individuals ? God who creates and regenerates does not need a preacher to speak His Word. His Word is logical and acheives results. It is the self-proclaimed "god" of this world (Satan) that needs a human platform. In fact Jewish writings appear around the same time as Hindu writings showing that they co-existed from the beginning. The illusion of evil being greater than good does not make it so. Otherwise you and everyone else would be screaming and running around in all directions or giving someone else trouble every second of your waking life.

1. No people are outgrowing religion. We don't need a preacher standing between people and the divine. People have always been able to talk to the dead, not all people mind you.
2. I agree that people are not checking out the spirits properly to tell if they are from God. But this happens in churches as well. One case in point is the speaking in tongues as an initiation into the group.

Who cares, there is no fact to any religion, be it Buddhism, Xtianity, Wicca etc. As far a xtianity goes, just because some Jewish guy two thousand years ago declared himself the son of God, means absolutely nothing, David Koresh called himself the son of God in Waco, "who knows he might actually have been. Xtianity totally contradicts the mother religion which is Judaism, the Jews make no mention of the coming Messiah being the son of God, in fact if Go had a son there would be two Gods, again this contradicts the theory of monotheism, "belief in one God" billions of buddhist belive that they will be reincarnated, there religion an offshoot of Hinduism is far older than xtianity, are they wrong
