My Friend Said Something To Me- What Does This Mean?

I am the type of girl who sits in lessons and only speaks when spoken to. Very shy- but today I decided to speak up. It was maths 4 lesson. This guy who sits in front of my had made one of those fortune tellers. On one of the flaps it said for a free hand job, talk to Jess (My mates name). Well she crossed her name out and replaced it with Claire (me). This boy had done the fortune teller and it said "For a free hand job, talk to Claire". He said to me "Claire can we meet at 6 for this hand job?" And I knew what he ment then because he showed me and I just went "Nah, can't make it then- 5 OK?". Usually I would just put my head down and go red but I didn't. The on the way to tech (5th Lesson) then Jess said to me "I don't like you being confident, I prefered you being shy". She is the most two-faced person you will ever meet, and I'm pretty sure she talks about me behind my back but without her I got nobody to go with in English. What did she mean by this?

Probably prefers you being less confident then she is Probably cause that was something like what she would say. Maybe she prefers when she's the dominating one and you just sit in the background not doing anything.
It means that she is jealous when u speak to other people in your class because she is used to u been quiet. There is one of them girls at our school, who talks about you etc. Dont listen to what your mate says. If you want to be confident, then be confident. I know she will hate it, but shes just jealous of you talking to other people. xx

she is obviously jealous of you, when your shy you dont get noticed and she likes it this way. People notice her and not you, you start being more confident and you will het noticed more and she doesnt want this to happen. you dont need friends like that

i would rather go to english on my own than with someone like her, she says she is a friend when she isnt she said that because she is scared that if you become more conifdent then people will talk to you more in class and not her. it sounds like she wants to be centre of attention. find someone else love dont let people like that put you down, or make u feel low.....
she's jealous of u and likes to have power over u because it makes her feel important. In the long run, this girl isn't going to be someone who stays in your life forever so cut her off now. u only need her for one class? leave her. make a new friend for that class. she just wantd to put u down to make herself feel good. u dont need that
she's jealous. the reason she crossed her name out and put yours on the thing in the first plae was to embarrass you and when that backfired, she didn't know what to do. also, since you acted really cool about it, you got attention from the boy and now your friend may see you as a threat or competition of sorts. she's totally jealous. tell her to get over it.
it depends how she sed it - she might have just been joking or she might just like being the centre of attentionnd doesnt want anyone else being more popular than her... it might meen something else along the lines of the seccond reason but i cant be bothered to write it down soo.....
maybe she was being sarcastic or maybe she was just jealous that the boy wants a hand job off you and not her :P lmao best friends can be abit two faced sometimes its the way they are x

basically she prefered u wen u were shy bcuz she got all the attention if i was u id tell her 2 get lost n make some proper friends. gud luk :)
