What are some things a 10 year old could sell to her classmates at school?

Like fortune tellers, paper bookmarks, finger-knitted scarves.... Any ideas?

  1. Since you're a peer (another 10 year old) - what things would YOU buy from another classmate at school? That would probably be the best answer of all.
  2. I wonder what you are trying to teach the child? Economic practices? Entrepreneurship? or is this a creative zeal coming to the fore? Home made cookies? Candy? I expect that the things sold should be useful, therefore teh bookmarks and 'fortune tellers' might not make her any cash. How about selling coupons for helping with chores (at home or at another's home) Or selling cute socks that you buy in the store and mark it up 10% or something minimal
  3. You can sell candy kids love candy
  4. cookies and candy?
  5. Our school forbids that.....but perhaps you could contact them after school. Try something for the upcoming Easter baskets - colorful and wonderful. Have a healthy and happy leap year!
  6. I know something that all children of and around that age love, and that is those "littlest pet shops" animals. That would be sort of more of an investment on your behalf though. Maybe you could buy a set and break it up and sell them for profit? Hmm...also do you have any old video games? That would be good. Also maybe old board games you no longer want, maybe something the child got for Christmas and never uses. He/she could make things to sell to her peers. Get creative. Maybe you could help her(or him) design things such as: book covers (decorate the old paperbag look), pencil cases, bookmarks, t-shirts. You could go to the dollar store or a craft store and think of inexpensive ways to design little things that the children could wear. If I were you I would have my son or daughter come up with a new popular design (maybe the new hottest trend aka HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL!!) and make HSM t-shirts! Then she could sell them. I bet all the kids would love them!!
  7. Better have your friend check to make sure she can bring stuff in to sell at school. Most school don't permit this sort of activity. So all her efforts to make things to sell may be for nothing. If she wants to earn extra money she should approach her parents about earning money for jobs around the home.
