  1. you could die soon
  2. Death Tarot isn't a personality. When the death card is drawn, it normally means a change is around. It's most likely major, but can be positive or negative. Very, very rarely the drawn card means death- you need to read it will all the other cards drawn, not just it on its own. ...It doesn't relate to any personality. Tarot foretells future, not describes personality. Ask the people who see you as 'Death' why they do it. We don't know you. *** Tarot has NOTHING to do with personality. Nothing at all. Tarot tells the future- it's nothing to do with what you're like. I've never heard anyone being refered to as a 'death-like' personality, so you'd have to find out from the people who call you that what they mean, exactly.
  3. the meaning of the card is simply change.
  4. the death card doesn't signify death...it means change. i'm not really sure what you're asking, but if it came up in a reading don't worry about it. bb edit that sounds more like an astrology thing...cancers are like that.
  5. No it just means changes, if upside down it tends to be negative, but if right way up it is positive change. It defindately does not mean death.
  6. I'm just wondering if there's a possibility people are also thinking of the Death character in the movie The Seventh Seal, I think a lot of people know the image, and associating this persona with the Tarot card. For example if you wear a lot of black they could be making a subliminal association?
  7. The Death tarot card is a sign of change...a rebirth is coming...but for a rebirth to happen, this way of being must end...this is a natural part of life, we all have phases and when it is time to end this one to begin the next, we need to accept that...a reversed (upside down) Death card means either the end of this era has not come quite yet or the asker refuses to let go of something that is already over...
  8. Before I comment on the relationship between the Tarot and personality, allow me to clarify my understanding of the Death card: Death is one of the most powerful cards in the Tarot. The Death card is not a card of death - it is a card of transformation--it signifies a transition to the next level of life. It represents change--and change happens for a reason. So if big changes are happening in your life accept that change happens and let it do what it must. Death also signifies re-birth. When the Death card appears, big changes are heading your way. Usually this change refers to something in your lifestyle; an old attitude or perspective is no longer useful and you have to let go of it. Sometimes you cannot see how your attitudes are hurting you, and when that is true, the Death card is your wake-up call. Death is not simply destruction; it is destruction followed by renewal. As James Rioux, Tarot author says of the Death card: "Even though one door may have closed, another is opening. Will you have the courage to step through? If so, before you go forward, take a moment to look back. Is there anything that you are carrying with you that is no longer necessary? Let it go now, before you proceed. Are your old attitudes holding you back, or are high expectations constantly disappointing you? Cast them off, or let Death's energy wash them away from you. Open yourself and let it strip away all that you no longer need - fear, revenge, intolerance. Flowers cannot bloom if the land is full of weeds which choke the ground, and likewise, your spiritual enlightenment will be held back by doubt and fear." Regarding the Tarot and personality, Julie Cuccia-Watts, creator of the Ancestral Path Tarot, the Blue Moon Tarot and the Maat Tarot, has done some interesting and enlightening work with the relationship between the Tarot and what you are calling "personality" [she doesn't use the term personality]. Specifically, with her Ancestral Path Tarot, she used the Wheel of the Year as she correlated specific times of the year with the cards of the Minor Arcana: Spring Equinox--Ace of Swords; March 22-28--Two of Swords, etc., coming up with a "birthday or natal card." She found that when the Seeker meditates upon the card assigned the his or her birthday, meaningful insights came to light. The natal card is a visualization of the Seeker's life path. If you are someone who is perceived as the Death card by people who truelly understand the meanng of the Death card, then you are someone who makes life-altering changes when the course of your life no longer serves you.
  9. Death is a Major Arcana and is significant in the idea that it is a outside influence that you can not control. The Death Card usually means change or transmutation. It does not mean death, it means death of the old and rebirth of the new. If the Death Card really is your card, you are a force of change and you are influenced by things outside of your control. Basically, in essence, you are chaos in a nutshell. Not predictable. You have a viewpoint that is different than most and you can not explain why in words. You drive others insane and give amazing clarity to others. You are an anomoly as a person, and no one will ever be able to pinpoint your exact desire.
  10. As a personality hmmm One who has rid themselves of what they no longer need. One who has been reborn, in much the same way as a snake sloughs off it's old skin. I would disagree with the above poster who says tarot exists to tell the future. In my experience that is not what it does. It highlights influences (arguably the subconscious) that may be 'working' in the here and now, and from that one can project a possible future.
  11. In the Tarot deck, Death is the card of change and sweeping transformation. Personality-wise, maybe you are a focus for change. Your attitude makes it easier for those around you to make the changes they need to make, or to accept the changes that happen in their lives that they cannot control. This is just my guess based on the classically accepted meaning behind the Tarot card.
  12. death isnt for personality... death means new beginings, so something new will happen
  13. You shouldn't be using tarot cards if you don't understand them :/ The Death card means Change.
  14. Hello Death is a cards that marks life transitions, major changes. It isnt a personality but if it was it would be an honest, truth bringing person who will change your life drastically. Sadhara
  15. death is a new beginning depends on the deck, i use egyption which means change or birth
  16. The 1st 9 numbered cards of the Major Arcana use "human" characters or archetypes to demonstrate an aspect, the remaining cards display planetery or higher aspects of the spiritual journey. Through the tradition of numerology it is possible to select a card designed to represent the subconscious personality of an individual. 1 of the first 9 personality cards is allocated for this purpose. This is how the persons spiritual bent is PERCIEVED. Death in the Tarot is evocative of a spiritual transition. To understand this perhaps you should ref: Thanotos, Death in Greek Mythology. He was a son of Zeus, therefore immortal and as a spirit form was devoid of personality. His task was to guide lost souls, not to kill or harm.
  17. the death card drawn as the significator: this means you may be changeable, starting new things and stopping. just to start another new thing. a significator is not a life long card, it is at the moment. it can indicate peronality traits and may be apt a lot of the time but may not suit in some life circumstances or at different times
  18. I does represent a person that is hard on the outside and weak on the inside or maybe a person thats involoved in a deeply passionate relationship also.
