Whom should I believe? The fortune-teller lady or the magic 8 ball?

During the summer, I spent as much time with my best friend as possible because we were finally going having different schools from each other. There was this one time in her house that we were so bored we got her magic 8 ball and began asking questions. She asked "Will my best friend have a boyfriend this school year?" and the magic 8 ball replied "it is certain". She was all excited for me and began asking another question "Will he be a new student?" and the magic eight ball said "yes". I was like "woah. ok watever" and stuff like that. Months has passed and high school without my best friend sucked. I was, though, KINDA lik going out with this guy. He likes me and I like him (yes. he's the guy the magic eight ball was talking about. He was a new guy in school) but I haven't answered him yet if we should be bf and gf. Anyway, I was with some other girls one day in the shake place (a hangout we go after school) and a lady was saying that she was a fortune teller and she has predict she has predicted a lot of things that have came true. She told me stuff(lets skip to the love prediction). She said my soulmate's name begins with letter M or J because my name begins with the letter N. But the guy's name doesn't begin with the letter M or J. It begins with T. So who's right? Are even one of them right?

12. Any answer from a magic 8 ball has got to be coincidentally right. You can shake it, ask a question and get a yes. Dido and get a no. Fortune tellers in my opinion are fake. Their answers are always going to be coincidental. An answer that can be said for anyone.
13. The Eight Ball and fortune teller are neither right. They are things of the occult, which is in turn incorrect. YOU are in control, and only God can predict what will happen. But I'm not going to cram religion down your throat.

15. You should view both as forms of entertainment, only. Fortune tellers are nothing more than ordinary people skilled in the art of reading body language and facial expressions. They make a general comment, you react subconciously to it, and they use your reaction to tailor their "reading" for you. Even phone (phoney?) psychics can pick up on vocal cues to help them say the "right" things. As much as we'd like to believe it, the simple fact is that nobody can predict the future or read your mind. If you want proof, call a phone psychic. When she asks for your credit card number, aks her why she doesn't already know it!

19. I don't know how she could say what the letter of the name of the guy is...I have never gotten any message like that and I am psychic...she was maybe not accurate BUT the eight-ball really is just random answers...
