ok, this is going to take a long time to explain so stick with me. I am 13 years old, my name is Rilee. a quick run down on my history, i was the oldest of 5 kids all close in age. when i was 5 yo, my mom and 4 younger brothers (ages 4, 3, 1, and 6 mo.) were killed in a house fire. my dad and i managed by ourselves until he was arrested for drug possession and child abuse. i was with 2 foster families, the second adopted me when i was 6. they had 2 boys (who are now 26 and 12). the next year, they adopted my older sister (who is now 18). a year later, my adoptive mother died in a car wreck. dad re-married to a lady with 4 kids (now ages 25, 20, 16, and 9). they adopted 3 kids (now 11, 8, and 6), had 2 more of their own (3 and 2), and are foster parents to 2 (15 and 13). so yeah, large fam i know. my birth mom (before she died) was into some weird stuff, like palm readings, tarot cards, seances, ouija boards, etc. i remember it all very well. for a few weeks after the fire, i kept having a recurring dream every time i fell asleep about it, and then it gradually went to once a week, etc. when i was 6, i was sleeping when all of a sudden i woke up, got extremely cold, and heard a voice that said "its your fault that your mamas dead. you killed them and we will get you". my new parents took me to see a therapist. when i was 9, i saw a dark creature looking at me. he was sitting at the end of my bed. but he didn't say anything. after that it gradually got worse. i was always scared, and i always felt like someone was watching. when my oldest bro (the 26 yo) became a christian, it got waaaaaay worse. i would see shadows on the wall, appear and then disappear. and the fire dreams came back. then back in jan. my 18 yo sis (she was 17 then) became a christian, and 2 weeks ago, my 16, 15, and 13 yo sibs became christians. i was about to too, because i hate the feeling of being watched and thought that that would make it go away. but idk, i was just being stubborn (we were at a christian youth camp) and didn't do it. then last friday i was in my room, and i just kinda passed out, when i came to, i was laying on my bed and i felt hands around my neck (but i didn't see anything), they were choking me, and i couldn't breathe at all. it scared the living shit out of me. i layed there for at least 8 minutes choking/not breathing trying to say "jesus" because at camp there was a guy with a similiar 'choking' story and he said after he said "jesus" they went away. but i couldn't talk, i finally got it out, and instantly i could breathe. then i started screaming cause i didn't know what else to do. my 16 and 18 yo sisters stayed with me for the next hour trying to get me to calm down (i was shaking really bad). then i got scared if there wasn't someone with me. and i've been sleeping in their beds these past few nights. but how come these demons/spirits/w.e. won't leave me alone? are they always here because my birth mom put a curse on me? i just want them to go away. what's wrong with me? i want to be a christian so they'll go away, but i don't exactly want to be a christian otherwise. is that a bad thing? HELP!!! it scares me. i didn't say "posessed" i said "oppressed". big difference. i'll be 14 in a few months and i know the difference because i looked it up online. not a christian but googled both sides of the story. no, not very old but i'm not dumb.

You sound like you're a very troubled young lady. I can assure you that you're not demon possessed, but you could probably use some psychological counseling.

Regarding, "but i don't exactly want to be a christian otherwise" Is it OK if I ask why? The reason I ask is that I used to not want to be a Christian either, because all the ones I knew were boring fuddy duddies. Later I found out that's not how it's supposed to be at all. Perhaps you have a misconception as well? To answer your question though, I don't know how to get rid of demons without Jesus Christ. Romans 8:1 ... there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, Even if evil spirits can oppress a Christian they don't have power over us. (I do think Christians can be oppressed). 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; (9) persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
If you stop believing in demons, they will go away. The best way to do that is to stop believing in the Bible. It's chock full of boogeyman stories that will scare the daylights out of you . Forget about all of that other stuff too. They all work on one's fears to make a person imagine all sorts of horrible things that aren't real.
Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome. You've had too much trauma, upheaval and drastic change in your young life. You really do need therapy and possibly anti-anxiety medication. Judgement-oriented religious hokum is NOT going to make you feel any better. You need serious HELP to deal with unresolved past issues. Good luck and god bless.
I'll tell you honestly - I'm having a really hard time here believing that you are 13 years old. I noticed right away your use of the word oppressed. A Christian can be oppressed but not possessed. You say that you are not a Christian. Not only is it possible for you to be possessed, it is extremely unlikely that as an unsaved person (and one so young, at that), that you would have any biblical understanding of the difference. You may have googled the info but the glaring fact remains: Without salvation in Christ, you are extremely vulnerable. Your attention needs to be directed to His command that you be born again. The course that you are on regarding demons is one that you can not deal with without Christ. Why concern yourself with biblical matters and ignore the authority of the Sovereign God?
I think you should go to a catholic church and talk to the priest there he wont laugh at you just explain everything and he'll help you out...if you are demon-opressed he can make them go away (i don't know how i'm catholic but they dont really explain that part)...
If you want to be free from these demons that are oppressing you there is only in person that can help you. His name is Jesus. All you need to do is call upon Jesus name. Submit to God resist the devil and he will flee from you. James 4:7

You would be very wise to seek God. God has all the power, satan has none he has been stripped of power. The only power they have is the power to project thoughts into your mind and the ability to send the appropreiate spirit to put you in a certain mood where they can steal your God given power and authority, but they cannot read your mind. God gives each individual power and authority, when you get into fear which is satan's realm he is able to steal your power and authority and use it against you. You have far more power and authority than satan and even a pig has more authority than he does. When you have a personal relationship with God through our Lord God Jesus Christ you not only have your God given power and authority but you have access to the motherload of power (GOD). So I would definitely recommend rethinking about how you feel about God.
