Is it bad to use Tarot cards and Psychics?

Have you ever had an accurate Tarot reading? What happened? My friend visited a psychic lady who asked her for alot of money. She told her that someone put a curse on her

  1. Well, if you are a Christian then this is considered an act of sorcery, and is an abomination to God. Revelation 22:15: Outside are the dogs and the sorcerers and the immoral persons and the murderers and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying.
  2. It depends what reasons you're doing it for. If It's because you truly believe in it, fine, great, even. ...If you're using it to con someone for some odd reason, then not that good, no. ...Also, it depends what you're religion says, but religion is you're own personal matter.
  3. Bad? Only in the sense that it's a waste of money unlsee you find it entertaining.
  4. totally nonsense and a waste of money maybe fun for entertainment no such thing as a curse exists predictions can come true if the receiver BELIEVEs it comes true. Like so scared to death about dying on the 13rth of next month that the stress causes a heart attack and person happends to die on the 13th otherwise it is nothing but a coincidence. these people make easy money from fools who think these uneducated people can see the future somehow. I would rather buy the real stuff and use it as fertilizer
  5. Did she? What a surprise! It is bad as you are giving money to fraudsters.
  6. Tarot cards can be an excellent way to focus your consciousness on a problem and all the things you aren't thinking about openly. I feel that they're best used by an individual, although some can read for others, if they are good enough. Psychics, especially ones who just try to get money out of you are charlatans and frauds.
  7. That is a common scam. To say someone is cursed and then ask for a sum of money to ward off the curse. Run away from any psychic who tries that. While some people are indeed naturally intuitive, the psychic field is loaded with scam artists. Whenever money gets involved, motives get murky. A truly spiritual person seeks to serve others, rather than themself.
  8. Stupid. A waste of time. Bad? Depends on what you're after. Or who.
  9. Not unless you think it is. It's a question you have to ask your self.
  10. Why don't you just throw your money out the window. It would do you as much good. Didn't your parents teach you anything about that kind of scam?
  11. i had been cursed by some woman once and it was like living in hell cuz i was stuggling alot of things but i did not take it to personal cuz i frought against my odd it was tough so i went to church even though i dont beilve in chruch the demends dont like church so it worked and it was free but ur friend has to pray hard to get it out then... its free i mean if she or he doesnt feel comfortable she or he can see a psychic but remember some of them are fake and some are reall soo good luck i do get my tarots card and psychic reading once a year
  12. Regardless of what they say it is bad, The Bible says to stay away from such people, in the Acts of the Apostles Paul exorcised a spirit of divination from a young girl. and all she was doing was going around tell people to listen to him because he was a good man but Paul saw past this deception and cleaned her of this unclean spirit.
  13. Well first your friend was nuts and should have seen it as something bad a mile away. She was taken for a fool! And i do my own tarot readings, as well as i do ones for friends as well. I dont charge either. I gain nothing except experience with my cards.Yes i've had accurate tarot readings. What has happend they lead me down a road i needed to go down. And no one knows what someone else does unless they 1) make it up 2) they are told thats what happend. Sorry your friend got taken. feel free to email me any time.
  14. I love readings.... I love doing readings but the moment anyone mentions curses ... I would take my money and run this is the oldest scam in the book I am so sorry this " psychic lady " done this to your friend
  15. Yes. God strongly disapproves because if they are capable of anything they get their knowledge from demon possession. Only God knows the future. And God says He does nothing, until He tells His prophets first. These are not prophets of God because sorcery and divination are wrong in God's eyes. Any attempt to contact the dead by mediums is wrong to God, because this also is contacting evil spirits and not God's spirit. If you want to know ask God.
  16. Thou hast got to be shitting me--Tarot cards and psychics are the quickest way to brainwash an idiot ever--they have no problem changing their future to match the cards--retarded
  17. I think in general commercial psychic stuff it is harmful (a sham). (Just in general... not always). There are "light workers" who really care about humanity, who come from love, and who are inspired and empowered by God, regardless of religious affiliation. In general, though, I think it is best for people to avoid psychics until they have developed their own inner light from which they can discern the nature of the person offering Tarot or psychic services. I think most commercial psychics are phonies, in it only for money, fame and/or power. People will real psychic gifts tend to keep them for themselves, to use in their own life, as a guide... and also to help their friends and family (those they love). Anyone who talks about curses is obviously not of the Light.
  18. There is no such thing as good luck or bad luck. There are blessings and curses for obedience or disobedience to God's word. The Bible tells us to have nothing to do with this type of activity. Why bring trouble upon yourself? " 'Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God. Leviticus 19:31 'I will set my face against the person who turns to mediums and spiritists to prostitute himself by following them, and I will cut him off from his people. 'Consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am the LORD your God. Keep my decrees and follow them. I am the LORD, who makes you holy. Leviticus 20:6-7 The idols speak deceit, diviners see visions that lie; they tell dreams that are false, they give comfort in vain. Therefore the people wander like sheep oppressed for lack of a shepherd. Zechariah 10:2 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death. Revelation 21:8
  19. The answers are all around you, and there is really no need for a psychic...especially when there's money involved. Try talking to God. Express your fears and hopes. Just have a conversation as you would with a good friend. God will speak to "you" or "your" friend. However, don't have crazy expectations. God isn't always conventional and niether are his representatives. All will be taken care of. And no, I am not some bible thumbing, right wing, evangelical. Just a dude.
  20. About your friend, I saw on the news several years ago that there are many "psychics" who do nothing but tell people they've been cursed, and that they need to transfer the curse into large wads of money and then destroy it (when it really all just goes into their pockets). So don't buy it for a second, and tell your friend to not give it another thought (or cent). As for tarot cards, fortune telling, and all that kind of stuff, it can come from several sources: Some people just make stuff up (as in your friend's case), some people might grab onto random passing thoughts in their head and take them to be truth, while still others might actually receive their "inspiration" from the devil himself. None of it, however, is of God; so even if it isn't blatant evil, there's really no point to it, since we're not going to get a useful answer from it. God has always used the same method for communicating with us, we pray to Him, and he answers us, either through inspiration from his Holy Spirit (that he will send directly to us, not to someone we need to pay to tell us), through His scriptures, such as the Bible (which are records of blanket instruction given to large groups of His children through His prophets), or from His living prophets, nowadays (see the web page www.mormon.org for more on that). I hope this helps!
  21. Focus on the "good" and "Keep doing good and don't look back" - St. Therese, The Little Flower
  22. Using the Tarot and psychic abilities is not at all condemnable in the Wiccan religion. I know it is seen as sorcery and witchcraft in early Christianity and thus considered a sin, but I cannot speak for modern Christianity. I have found many Christians and Catholics who do not treat me any different when I tell them that I am Wiccan. The issue is more on the intent. Let's face it. Not everyone is a good/moral person. The Tarot should not be tainted with what someone chose to do with it. The Wiccan Crede (a moral code of the Wiccan religion) says the following " An it harm none, do what ye will." In other words, as long it harms no one (including oneself or anything) do what you need to do. So we are not to be cursing anyone or tricking them into giving us money because that would be harming others obviously. Yes I have done Tarot readings for myself and yes they are quite accurate. One particular reading hinted at a further education at a great college but far from home. Here I am at Wellesley College across the country from California. It also hinted at trouble in relationships. My boyfriend and I broke up...for the reason that I was moving across the country and long-distance was out of the question. The Tarot does NOT determine the future. It merely shows the future should you continue as you are. That way you know what to watch out for,or whether you are on the right track. For the very same reason that the lady asked for a lot of money, a lot of my Wiccan friends are adamant about not charging for readings. When it comes to psychic abilities, I believe that everyone has them. They just dont know it or they havent developed the ability quite yet. For the future, simply be careful with these types of things. There are genuine people who can guide you through life by reading the tarot, but there are some predators who are more interested in your money. Make sure its someone you can trust. The validity of the Tarot is up to you. Some choose not to believe. Some believe. But like other religions- all it takes is faith. Hope this helps. Peace.
  23. No.i don't have to go to them, they are the ones that is cursed, they use witchcraft to seduced people in giving up their hard working money what they had earned. When you go to God, you don't hear God asking you for money, don't you?, then why go to these people when they themselves need help. Once you accept Jesus as your Lord and personal savior, no curse in hell can keep you down, and it is a free gift to accept him in your life, no charge, only believe.
