The Gay Tarot by Lee Bursten and Antonella Platano?
I recently purchased "The Gay Tarot" and have been trying my own readings for the last few weeks (I'm a green horn). Sadly, I've lost the booklet that identifies the card meanings. Could someone direct me to a place where I can print out the meanings? Or perhaps tell me what they are. I'm weary at using a basic "this card mean" approach since it was a themed deck. The cards in the deck are as followed: MAJOR ARCANA The Fool The Fool / 10 of Wands The Magician (1) The Intuitive (2) The Protector (3) The Emperor (4) The Priest (5) The Lovers (6) The Chariot (7) Justice (8) The Hermit (9) Wheel of Life (10) Strength (11) The Hanged Man (12) Death (13) Temperance (14) Self Hatred (15) Revelation (16) The Star (17) The Moon (18) El Sol (19) Beyond Judgement (20) The World (21) Suits: Cups1-10, Swords 1-10, Wands1-10, Coins 1-10 Youths:Cups, Swords, Wands, Coins Guides: see above Sages:above Aces:above Mans:above Court Cards: Youth, Man, Guide,

- Most decks have the basic meanings pretty close to the same. Why not go back to the store you bought the deck from and ask if they can order you just the book?
- In all honesty, it sounds like your standard Rider-Waite inspired symbolism/system, but... I don't know of any place that would have card meanings specific to that particular deck. I'd contact the publisher or manufacturer to see if they might be able to send you a copy of the booklet. It certainly couldn't hurt. If you know anyone else who owns the deck, perhaps they could make copies of it for you?
- Most Tarot Decks symbolise the same meanings in one variation or the other but we choose a deck that 'speaks' to us, appeals to us in someway or other. You could go to the library to get a standard book on tarot to learn the basic meanings but adapt them to your particular philosophy on life or the friends that you read for. Once you have mastered the basic concepts of the Major Arcane try using your own intuition by really studying the card in detail; what does the picture as a whole say to you, what do different elements of the picture represent to you or the person you are reading for, what position in the spread is it, how does it relate to the other cards, how does it apply to your current situation, what question are you asking. Take note of all your intuitive thoughts. Keep a Tarot journal, even if you just do one card a day. Over time you will gradually know what each card represents to you on a psychic level without using a book. The tarot is really just a medium we use to help visualise a situation, solution and possible outcome - something tangible rather than just thought based.
- I have studied Tarot and divination for 28 years. When showing people how to read cards, I suggest they use the book "Tarot for Yourself" By Mary Greer. She is an inspired teacher of tarot and gives you quick insight on how to read your own meanings into a card - one of the first and most crucial points of reading. The book for the deck you want to use may be available to you at TheTarotgarden.com - they have such things. But the Gay Tarot is derived from other tarot traditions - specifically either the Rider Waite Smith deck - the standard most Americans know; or the Crowley/Harris Thoth Deck. All Modern tarot seem to have been derived from these two decks. Wikipedia has several articles that might be helpful http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarot#Common_card_interpretations Remember, like anything practice helps. Start with three card examinations and move from there. Good luck in The Work
