When reading someones tarot card, which way do you turn the cards? Meaning if I shuffle them but some1 else is?

reading them, do they turn the cards they way I shuffled them? Kind of like the number 6 & 9 if I shuffle the cards and they are like a 6 when I hand over the cards to the reader do they turn the cards to face them like a 6 or do they read them like a 9 which would be upside down to me. okay (I'm using the #'s 9&6 so I can understand.) when she takes the cards from me she turns them to face her to my 6 becomes 9?
