Is it true that cats have mystical powers?

I have heard that cats have some mystical powers? Do you think this is true?

  1. Let's put it it this way, Terri - if you had some mystical powers, would you eat kibble when there's a can of tuna in the cupboard?
  2. My opinion? No, they do not.
  3. my cats have the mystical power to sleep all day and then make noise in the kitchen just when i'm trying to get to sleep. actually, they do seem very perceptive of my moods, but i don't think it's mystical, it's just that we live in close quarters and they are 'in tune' with me, so to speak.
  4. no
  5. The Egyptians used to believe that cats would ward off evil. As for mystical powers though, I don't think they do. However, I do believe they are definitely more intuned to seeing spirits, ghosts, angels, demons, etc.
  6. It is very true. They are living on the brink between life and death until they got fully to the dead half. You can see the dead threw thier eyes if you look close enough. But the mith of having 9 lives is untrue... They only have 2 technicaly. One on the brink and one in death.
  7. i don't know but at times my cat stares like something is there, i think they see spirits. i have herd a psychic talking about cats being Abel to see stuff we can't see.
  8. No, they are ordinary pets
  9. Not really... But they can sense the presents of spirits and act as a warning device........................
  10. Mine has the power to make me smile and that's pretty good magic in my eyes.
  11. There are certain ancient cultures who believed that cats have something mystical in them. The Olmecs (the mysterious culture before the Mayans) believed that there are certain royal breeds among their culture who are half-men and half-leopards. Egyptians regarded cats as sacred. Of course who can ever forget that black cats were regarded during the Inquisition period as partners in crime of the witches. In these modern times, we know that cats are more intelligent than dogs but are more difficult to tame. But their being mystical in nature is far from reality.
  12. it depends. many people think that they dont have powers but some people do. For example, a friend of the family had two cats, and one, unfortunatly passed away, but a few days later, the other cat took the dead cats stuff and buried it next to the grave. Then a few days later, it started meiowing and stuff, just like it used to do when the dead was alive. However, I personally think the cat needed help, and somethings do say that cats have mystical powers. Cats, and other animals, can sense the presace of death on a person, like when they are about to die and some can sense when there is a ghost in the room. It is up to you. you decide for yoursely.
  13. erll .. when i kick em they dont seem to do much back to me >=) (im sorry if i sound mean but i hate cats, im a dog-lover)
  14. I have two and don't think they have any special powers beyond getting me to feed them, pet them, let them in or out, exc exactly when they want me to. They are independent and can be mysterious (what are you chasing all over the house now?), but that's about it.
  15. Sekhemet http://showcase.netins.net/web/ankh/sekhmet.jpg the egyptian gods were flood suvivors of Atlantis they were the hybrids Atlantis reptillians, brid and lion headed people etc....
  16. Cats...they don't exactly have mystical powers, but the cat animals do attract a lot of negative energy, and some have the abilities to see the dead due to the negative energy that resides in them. The same basis goes for females. Most sensitives and mediums you see are usually female due to the negative energies that resides in them, for girls also have a lot of negative energy in them.
