Do tarot readers ever get it right?

I like many other people started to see tarot readers when I was having relationship problems. Trouble is, I got a bit addicted, and they never got it right. I have not been for many years now but I have the urge to try it again. Since the new act came in regarding fake mediums etc does this mean only the genuine ones remain? Does anyone have any tips in how to get a good reading, or know any "genuine" readers?

  1. "Genuine" readers? First off, do NOT expect that a tarot reading is going to be like a "home movie" of your future. It never is. What it does is give you a picture of trends and influences around you and the likelihood of the possibilities it raises. NOTHING is written in stone, as you have free will and can act on anything that you learn. Readings that "guarantee" that you will marry on X date, and have 3 children are only picking up on the influence of the moment. You say you got addicted. That throws in the monkeywrench of confusion, as you fail to exercise your free will in that case and the cards are prone to tell you things simply to make you question yourself, your goals, and your motives. Don't ask the impossible and expect that the reader will plan your life for you. That is your job. Look at your readings in a broad sense and find the general meaning. YOU will fill in the details yourself.
  2. I know accurate readers who do it for free, but for their friends. They don't have a business and don't charge because they believe it's wrong. And between you and me, it's not that hard to learn tarot. Just start from the beginning look at different techniques and perhaps be eclectic about it. You find what works best for you. Why would you want your tarot cards read for money anyways? Get a friend and learn to do it yourself- because believe it or not, if done correctly, even a normal friend can give you an accurate future. ( But remember the future isn't set in stone and can be changed if you change your mind. Sometimes it just happens subconsciously that you change your mind.. therefore giving you a different future than previously predicted) (Probably 80% of tarot readers who want your money don't even know exactly what they're doing. Going into the 'pyschic' business is big money.. if you're in the right area)
  3. i do believe there are people who are genuinely gifted and can read tarots
  4. Some can this one time i went to see a tarot reader and she predicted that a tall dark stranger would come into my life she also drew a card of fate and the tower card whatever that meant so the next 4 weeks i meet a tall-ish Dark stranger boy he was cute and i got a job as a Newspaper and a childminder a.k.a a babysitter.
  5. most of them are liars. trust me, I know coz my greatgrandma is a tarot reader. she is a good one, but she told me that most of them lie. No one can predict the future "accuratly" so to speak. it's really hard to find genuine ones. you can start by believing that everythng happens for a reason. besdies, where is the fun in knowing your future. the whole purpose is to be surprised/shocked, andlive in the very moment.
  6. any types of reading cards, tarots, ancient and ordinary card are only be read once a year. its a all year round reading, as i am doing it. i never asked any cents or payment , or asked any, all i am asking is a simple small ordinary candle, candle can absorbes all the negative energy. some readers may be true and some are fake, make profit on it. avoid those fakes readers, it will only jeopardize your emotions and futures.
  7. The Tarot gives advice. If you follow the advice, such as not to do something, or pick up your feet and get busy in a certain area of your life, then you are using them as intended. A guide. Nothing is written in stone. If it is predicted that you should meet someone in the near future and you stay home, locked in your room for a month, you will never meet that someone that was predicted. Were the cards wrong? No. You did not make yourself available. If the cards suggest a new job and you do not look for that new job, I doubt if some fantastic is going to just walk up and say, hey, come work for me. You must use this information to better yourself or to avoid bad situations. By the way, the death card does not necessarily refer to a physical death of someone you know/ love or yourself. It means the ending of a situation. Divorce possibly, a change in living arrangements, maybe even your car dieing, do not be afraid of the death card. Many readers draw one card each morning to let them know what will be happening on this day. If its a bad day, I won't drive a car. Have I prevented an accident? I certainly think so.
  8. I like to think myself an accurate reader... I only ever got a couple readings wrong to my knowledge, some years ago, and I identified what was wrong there (I needed to quit going "by the book" on the card interpretations and start reading more intuitively; and I've been successful since.) Now, I don't know what kind of readings your bunch were giving that were wrong, if I knew it might help shed some light on what was going on there... here are just some guesses. 1) Sometimes people are just giving cold or canned readings that usually will apply to everyone (and sometimes are done with the motivation of making the client buy more stuff.) Also -- particularly when it comes to relationships -- I think a lot of tarot readers try to project their own opinions onto the reading (I know this, for I bought some readings in the day, after a major breakup.) They either will give comfort readings if they feel that's what's needed to help you move on, or else will automatically claim there's no hope and you should give up because they never observed firsthand an experience where it wasn't a waste of time to try to reconciliate, and feel they're doing a favor preventing you from it. 2) They say you can change your fate as predicted in the cards, and it could be that knowing the projected outcome caused you to change your behavior in some fashion that changed things. Similarly, it could be that the reader specified something you had to do to get the outcome and you failed to perform it. For example, I once read for a woman who'd lost her pet dog, and I asked if she would find the dog if she kept looking, and got a Yes. However, she never found her dog again that I know of. Why? Because she quit looking after a week and just bought a new dog instead. C) You might have done something my mom once did -- she had a psychic reading done with a skeptical mindframe, and declared everything that man said to be wrong, only to realize years later that actually he was the only completely correct reader she'd ever dealt with. As for tips for finding good readers... to some extent, there will be variance as to what constitutes a "good" reading. Some people really do just go to tarot readers to talk, and don't care so much for the content of the reading as long as they feel listened to and sympathized with; others just want the facts and just want an accurate reader. Getting to know the reader is the only real way to test this. Of course, the thing to look out for (sign of a scammer) is if they give you a reading and then tell you that something needs to be "cleansed" and that the way to achieve this (especially a red flag if you didn't ask them how to do it) is to pay them to cast a spell or set a light or something of that nature. Otherwise, just be alert for cold readings, that is if everything the reader is saying is a bunch of stuff that seems it could apply to anyone (such as "You are concerned about the future" -- this would apply to nearly anyone planning to get a tarot reading -- or "You always do what you think is right" -- again, this applies to everyone. Even criminals usually believe what they did was the right thing.) You'll not get much useful information out of them.
  9. tarot readers are just trying to rip you off. I had a good friend give me readings a couple times, and every time it was different. When i pointed this out to her, she said it was based on decisions and could change every time. I never really believed it in the first place, but after that, i was convinced completely.
  10. tarot reading is never 100%. Sometimes things can get misinterpreted. I do tarot readings sometime for friends and family and there are some days when everything just feels off and i know the reading isnt going to come out right. I did however predict my sister getting pregnant. She took a pregnancy test a few days after i told her and found out i was right. :) I also told her she was having a girl, which she is. When you are getting a reading, really focus hard on what you want to know. if your mind is wandering and thinking about something else or if there is a subconscious question you may have, then the cards may pertain more to that than what you were actually hoping to find out about. If you are really interested in tartot, maybe you should learn them yourself so you can do your own readings and for you friends. it is actually quite fun. :D
  11. Hello Tigerlilly When you went for those many readings, you wasn't taking personal responsibility, in all probability you presumed that the psychic was an all seeing being & as you went to one after another you got confused. Which is common & normal. Maybe you never got told what you wanted to hear? The new act you mention has been in place for over 100 years in the UK, so nothing new. If you wish to visit a psychic, have good reason & ask about to see who others recommend. If you need a psychic, one will come your way. Follow your own intuition. Sadhara see profile :)
  12. I am a professional tarot reader and once and a while I seek readings from others to check out their styles, spreads etc. I find that the best and most accurate ones are the ones who don't use terms like soul mates or twin flames. I steer away from ones who also use biblical terms, crystal balls or any other of that hocus pocus stuff like Unicorns. The best by far that I have read for me are just normal everyday people with an open mind and an ability.
