Can anyone recommend a good career for someone interested in biology, evolution and psychology?

I am very intrigued with the human mind and mental illnesses and also a very good counselor. However i would prefer to do something that really answers questions about such things which takes me back to biology. I am not impresses with the mental health options or answers they have. I have studied some alternative things such as homepathy, energy healing, and hypnotherapy. Still i would rather pursue a career that explains and proves ways to help people. I am also very spiritual and would like to apply my critical thinking to new ideas.

  1. Archeology. Get a job, funding and travel the world baby! I took it in college cuz of Indiana Jones when I was a kid. But holy crap did I love it !!!
  2. Become an animal behaviorist. The study of animal behavior oftentimes includes the study of evolutionary influences and how the animals come to act in certain ways.
  3. If you study medicine, you could become a GP (general practicioner) where people come to you for counsilling. Or you could study biology or psychiatry
  4. Get a job with National Center for Science Education. Maybe you can help them open a new department for deprogramming kids coming out of schools where creationism was taught as science. I'm sure you'd be well supported by university professors who are increasingly frustrated by the fact that more and more American students aren't ready for college level courses because they haven't learned the basics of critical thinking and fact vs faith.
