- No, I chose Jessalyn Eleanor. Jessalyn is modern and cute, Eleanor is after Eleanor Roosevelt. A former president's wife. I loved studing about her in grade school and think she is a wonderful person. So I gave my daughters middle name after her.
- I think a names meaning has a lot to do with it. I think the name Kennedy is really cute but it means ugly head. For that reason I would never use it. One of my favorites right now is Danielle. I think it sounds pretty and I love that it means God is my judge. It is just so powerful. So basically if it sounds pretty and has a good meaning then I am for it :)
- No. I choose names that I think sound very beautiful and original. I'm not even religious.
- Well for me I like Biblical names. Also a big thing for me was that their names also had to look good on a resume, lets say. Some names are cute but for little kids, but then not too cute when they're older. I like names that havbe short forms-for when they're younger and longer forms for when they get older. So our children are named : Matthew Alexander (Matty) he's 4 and Gabriella Rose (Gabby) 23 mos
- Well I want to name my daughter after my grandma, because she was a significant influence in my life. I don't really consider that 'ancestor worship' or anything, she grew up very very poor, worked her butt off, and always wanted to be a nurse but couldn't afford to go to college (had to work as a maid in someone else's home to go to high school). Also, since she couldn't be a nurse she still took in older people from the town when they were ill and took care of them.
- I choose names with mythology, particularly Greek or Roman, because I like names to have stories behind them. It gives them greater depth and history. I don't choose names because they have religious/spiritual significance to be because I am an atheist and I don't believe in the supernatural.
- For boys names I tend to like Biblical names. All the boys names I like are Biblical. The girls names are different though. There are a few I like that are Biblical but most of them I just like for no real reason.
- My families choose: comic book anime sci-fi fantasy names
- I'm almost 5 months pregnant and am searching for names that sounds good, modern, unique but also with religious meaning.
