How to use the Mystical Eye Quickies (Eyeshadow) from Bare Escentuals?

Whenever I apply this eyeshadow, it doesn't show up well. It is supposed to create "a smoky, mysterious look, as well as the illusion of depth and texture..." Does anyone own this eyeshadow and/or know how to use it? Thanks.
