What do you think about psychics, hand readers, numerology and horoscopes?

i understand the practice .. its really interesting.. but i dont believe in the buisness... i know someone who is spending a lot on that stuff and it doesnt seem to help.. but she still tries it... is she just gullible... what do u think..

1. From what I understand some have it and some don't. Just because you practice it doesn't not mean you are able to do it. I also think it can be interesting but don't really believe.
2. i bought this house from an online psycic that bought it with his wife 1 year ago,, they got divorced 3 months after they bought it,, my response was that if you are psycic why didnt you see that coming,, they had to sell
3. Your friend is wasting money. If those crackpots were to be able to tell the truth don't you think they'd be able to tell Bush where Bin Laden is?, tell people all the winning numbers to the lottery, tell people when they were gonna die, tell us who is going to win the elections, TELL US EVERYTHING??? ask your friend those q's.

5. People that get these services pretty much know what they are getting. Mor often than not people just have fun with it and don't take it too seriously. Their are others though who are way to into it and usually something happens and they realize they are taking it way to serious. I think it is fun though, but not something to be taken to serious.
6. She is gullible.It is interesting but not true.If you do it for fun ,okay but don't take it seriously or you'll be in trouble.She is probably looking for meaning in her life.Take her to church.
7. I think that the practice of such things are very true. Unfortunately because of the nature of the psychic realm its easy to fake it and lie to someone. It appalls me to hear of "psychics" who tell people whatever they want to hear and steal their money. The true ones are out there, they are just hard to find. You're friend is probably being taken by a scam artist.
8. I am a psyhic and read cards. I do not ask for money for what I do and those who do are miss using what gifts they have. Tell your friend to stop paying find someone that wants to help.
9. If they have all these abilities, why do you have to make an appointment to see them??
10. It's fake. All the answers are so vague they can't help but be right. For example some will say you will come across money. This can range from 10cents to $10 million. You will face hardships. You face hardships everyday. You will have to make a choice. Doughnut or Bagel can be considered a choice. Etc etc etc. Until one says that at 1:38 pm on Dec 7th you will receive the Clap and it happens, I will continue to ignore them.

12. I believe it's all a scam and some sick people who really think they have a gift. There was never any scientific proof of these things even tough various groups,like skepp offered lots of money if they could prove any of it. But in every dubbleblind study up to date no "magician" could prove his ability and they never scored better than someone with no(claim of) a gift. For me that's prove enough it doesn't exist. As long as they don't hurt anyone,just let them live their fantasy. Unfortunately in many cases they harm and mislead already unstable people and too often for financial gain.This should never be tolerated.

14. no, cuz if it is real, then those pyshics see the future and get themself whatever they want , why the business to earn money then?
15. Be careful of the source of the psychic. Is it helping her? My psychic helped me. I use to be afraid of large knives, the first time I saw a psychic, she touched my hernia ( born with it ) she said i was killed by a there by a large knife. I couldnt believe it. How could she know. I no longer have a fear of large knives. Mostly it is good for meditation and advice on roads traveled in life or past life. Dont poo poo it.
16. I don't believe someone shoud really charge a lot for things like that. I know family who might charge some, but never more than what you might pay for a coffee at Starbucks. I myself don't really charge anyone. I do ask that they might leave *something* even a nickel or something in recognition, but that's all. However I can also see why people might charge a lot if that's their sole income. Businesses like that can be erratic and dangerous.
17. ok ive been reading tarot and doing psychic things a long time (tarot for 15 years or more) and it works as a tool for seeing and investigating things not possible to normal senses. but at the same time it doesnt work, for a theory of physics of my own that i call the talk cr ap rule. ever notice when your doing something truefully skillful looking like an ace, youll say something to the effect damn im good. and sure enough right at that moment something happens to make a total ass of yourself. this applies to trying to prove that tarot or palm reading or any psychic thing. it will look as if it doesnt work. and really if the only reason your doing it is for proof your really doing it for the wrong reasons anyway. i will say this however. that we all have senses and muscles in our body that we are not totally aware of. i will give you some mundane examples of this and i will let you draw your own conclusions. first example. have you ever noticed that blind people that the longer they are blind the better thier hearing is? is this because that the moment you lose your sight your brain is just gifted with better hearing if it were it would be instant wouldnt it? no its practiced and practiced. another example is a person who because of an accident loses thier (or ability to use) arms and after a while you come back and find them feeding themselves holding a spoon between thier toes. the final and best example i can give anyone is everyone. (at the age of birth to the first 6 months anyway) we all start out not knowing how to use a single thing and eventually with perserverance and practice we gain small advantages in the ability to control our bodies. well your psychic senses are no different. the more you practice and struggle to use them the better they will be. and to shine an example into this i will say that sylvia brown was lucky that she thought until 16 or 18 that her gifts were something everyone was doing. and so she went right on doing it naturally and now as a mature and wise woman she has immense practice at using these senses.
18. Some aren't styles of divinatoin that I am all that fond of. Psychics can be excelent, but never pay for a psychic reading. Hand reading is an exacting form of divination and five unrelated hand readers will all give the same reading because the rules are set in stone. Numerology is too broad a subject to go into. Horoscopes are almost always wrong as the system of portends and signs have not been updated in over a thousand years. Tell her to try tarot. It's relatively inexpensive and it was developed by Waite of the Golden dawn.
19. First and foremost, tell your friend to do some research. Psychics do exist, but there are alot of people faking it for money. I wouldn't doubt that your friend has been dealing with a fake.
