Could I get some Christian views on Tarot cards?

I am learning to read Tarot cards (oh, I can almost hear the gasps of dread...) I really like the deck, the Gilded Tarot, it's really beautiful. As far as I can tell there's nothing to sugest Satan or an evil of any kind controls the cards. I haven't become a 'darker' person. Just to kick up more controversy, I'm only 16! "Oh no, not even an adult and he's already Satan's slave..." I don't even believe in the devil. I don't believe in any deity. Including God. I'm an athiest (I explain the ways Tarot cards work in a scientific way; using the energy surrounding us. I guess it is sort of spiritual.) So, what's your Christian opinion? (Just so I can point and laugh) GENERAL RESPONSE TO THOSE WHO SAY "COME TO GOD, NOT SATAN": Tarot cards are not the tool of Satan, not have they ever been afiliated with him. Jesus lived 1000 years ago and Tarot cards appeared in the 15th Century, WAY after Jesus and were originally used as gaming cards. That's it! I don't know how some of you can retain that blind faith. Jesus lived over 1000 years ago and still you say we should all be his friend. When he was alive, the crusifix was a barbaric symbol of death and tortute. You know, you're really just scared, scared that there is no afterlife, scared that there's no heaven and no God. If you die and find out there's not...I guess it will be a hollow victory. I WANT there to be an afterlife but reason tells me different. I don't know why some of you say "Tarot communicates with evil and tells you things you're not meant to know." WRONG! Tarot cards only give you advice and provide windows to yourself.

No, don't worry. I don't think jesus would send you to hell for playing with some cards, LOL. After all, a lot of magick-practicing christians (who aren't very "media friendly") use tarot all the time. The christian viewpoint is more along the lines of using them for the right reasons, or rather, NOT the wrong ones ;)
i have a set of guide cards not the same as tarot but very close my ?? 4 u is is it something u believe in or do u just want ppl 2 notice u i am asking cuz this is something i trust and believe in

Tarot is another form of divination that is condemned in Scripture. Tarot cards are a means of communication with another world and, similar to fortune telling and Ouija boards, give us access to things we should otherwise not know. Tarot cards may not sound like a big deal to some, like something to just have fun with. But trusting in any form of divination places you in the hands of evil powers and the Bible speaks clearly against it.
Stay away from them entirely. That is Satans realm Seems innocent but familiar spirits and wizard,horoscopes and the flesh that gives them curiousity. The devil is aliar. Do not entertain any of that for your health. God chastens whom He loves and reallly the hard road is not the one you should take. Paegan gods and statues,ugee boards and any form of the occult should be disposed of and given like in acts the occult books and other stuff was burnt. Also in other scriptuires. One willl do well to not have this stuff. ANy graven image offensive to God (YAH) ought to be rid of . Crosses,mennorahs,plates scripture of t he bible is better in their place . Believe me I speak of experience never to use strandge gods in my home .
I feel sorry for you that you dont believe, you can laugh at us all you want to but you wont be laughing when you answer to God himself, lets see how well you laugh and how God will find it funny when he judges you. You still have time to repent and believe why cant you God will never force himself on you, but he does want us to try to help people get closer to Jesus and know him personally do you know why Jesus came here to die, He chose death on the cross to save your soul from Satan and hell, the wages of sin is death and we deserve it because of our sins, but Jesus took all our punishment on himself a sacrifice so we could live forever with him and be in rightstanding with God, he died for you so you could live, he loves you so very much but it is sad that you dont know him to experience his love, Satan has already blinded your heart and eyes, please give your life to God im trying to help you Get to Jesus I cant save you only Jesus can you have to make an effort to help yourself, who are you for God or satan, your making a bad descion if you decide satan he has a plan for your life and it isn't a good one its bad, God does have a plan for your life it is a great one, in Jeremiah it says For I know the thoughts and plans I have for you sayeth the Lord, thoughts for your wellfare and peace plans not to harm you, but to give you hope in your final outcome.
Well, I'm not a Christian but I can inform you that most of the famous tarot images are in fact Christian in origin! Tarot cards were created in the mid 15th century for the Milanese court. They were made by adding a fifth suit of picture cards to the already existing Latin suited playing cards (Cups, Coins, Swords, and Batons). These extra cards took as their theme, not an occult philosophy or magical symbols - but a Christian triumph procession. Hence their original name of trionfi, meaning triumphs and from which we get our word trump. It was the invention of tarot that marked the introduction of trumps into card games and that was the intended use of tarot cards - games. Contrary to popular myth, the church never objected to tarot cards - if it had, the cards could never have spread throughout Europe as the did, at one time becomeing not just popular but the most popular form of card game! Granted, some of the images look mysterious or even heretical to us now but we are looking at them with modern eyes. Let's take two examples. The Female Pope (re-named the High Priestess by occultists) looks like something the church would object to. However, if you look at 15th century religious art in Italy, you find that it is a common figure, used to symbolise things such as the New Covenant and the Virtue of Faith. Another interesting card is The Hanged Man, given this name by French card makers who were as puzzled by a figure suspended by one foot as were the occultists who have given it all kinds of meanings. However, in Italy this card was called The Traitor - and little wonder, that is how the executed traitors, suspending them by one foot and leaving them to die slowly and publicly. No mystery at all. For about 350 years the cards were used for nothing but games - games that are still played throughout continental Europe today. Then, at the end of the 18th century, a Parisian occultist, ignorant of their true origin and history, published in invented myth about them being from Ancient Egypt and suggesting they be used for divination. Tarot reading is no tool of power, for the power of the Almighty is greater and genuine. I have experienced that of tarot readings and I advise those who have not but are curious and those who do, to understand that tarot reading is a NEGATIVE TOOL..yes a negative tool. Tarot reading only makes you search and look for faults in situation causing you doubt and give up as a result. You make life what it is not the cards..you may refer to it as a guideline but it is a tool that always draws to a negative and never content ending. In terms of tarot reading I am not a fan as you can see... and first of the tarot shuffle readings of THE BIGGEST SCAM OF ALL ONLINE..THE FREE ONES THAT YOU SELECT... The lord reveals all in smooth ways...Tarot cards is end result disaster that subconsciously tricks a person's mind to act on what blantely is always a negative from the card. Ask yourself atheist why do your beloved cards always look for improvements and never allow one to see the situation as satisfactory or manageable for one to handle? Why does your beloved cards never state a situation can get better with the rights steps? WHY? It is a trick and route to making someone mind so vulnerable that they do not realize in the long run they are heading to a road which will probably be full of disaster because it encourages not to work on things and that every situation is bad and can never get good. It always for the new which equivalents that your situation is not satisfactory. Is it ever satisfactory is the question. You do your cards everyday..and i am sure your cards within the week whilst doing the same question will give you different past, present and future. THE LORD IS GREATER...REALIABLE AND HIS POWER IS STRONGER THAN THOSE CARDS..
