They make really vague statements that could apply to anyone. Like "today might be your lucky day." Who wouldn't want to believe that?
You feel that way because you want them to be true. That way you can believe that your life is already decided for you and there's nothing you can do to change it. This relieves you of any responsibility for determining your own destiny, and if you screw up, "Oh well, it was in the stars. Not my fault." I suggest you quit looking for excuses for your problems/situation and start looking for answers. And they ain't in horoscopes. Answers usually come from honestly looking at yourself, identifying shortcomings, and then doing something about it!
I agree with the other two. They are very vague and make it so you can fit it into everyday life. Honestly there are billions of people out there with your zodiac sign, but not with the same birth chart as you. I vote they should change the name "Horoscopes" on Y! Answers, to "Astrology". And put it in the damn Science and Mathematics section.
They say things that can apply to any daily thing and sometimes when people hear things they sometimes find things in the day that they can make things happen to relate to the horoscope but won't even realize it.
Becuase you apply them to your life, it makes them come true. If you're subconciously sure that what the horoscope says will come true, you do things that make it come true
The stars know all.
