Why are people so keen to believe psychic predictions of the future?

1. We would like to think we know what is ahead because it is human nature to need to be in control. Like death. People go crazy because they dont know what happens when they die. Short and Sweet.
2. Because people in general are very gullible and susceptible to being conned by those who make a very lucrative living out of it.
3. because we all need something to believe in
4. It probably gives them hope. But it creates a lot of confusion and false expectations. I want to stay away from these things. But my mother was a believer in them.
