I think it does work. 80% of all illness is stress. (NHS research). Much of any health worker's job is to help the patient / client to reduce the stress levels. It does not matter that 'Spirits' do not exist, it is that the person believes it does. Were it is dangerous is when the 'process' of healing covers an underlying problem. The worse possible example is of the Southern Evangelists. They use hypnosis (yet deny it) to 'heal'. Many of the people they 'heal' have deep physical illness, the person believe they are totally healed so they stop they treatment. ... And die. There are two other factors: One is - It has been shown that a person who becomes happier and more positive boosts the immune system. Another is that of the meridians. This is the hypothesis that we have lines of energy flow. Illness is when the flow of energy is blocked. Forms of healing like 'The laying on of hands' and Riki seem to work by releasing those blocks

Yes, yes, yes. I received healings from many terrible, dread diseases. Thank God for sending Jesus who bought these healings for me when he took the beating on His body. (By His stripes, we are healed.) Jesus is My healer. Yes, I know how to heal. When my daughter was growing up, we rarely had to take her to the doctor when she got sick (with flues, fevers, etc.) I asked her, do you want to go to the doctor or do you want Mommy to pray and for God to heal you? She always said, I don't want to take yukky medicine, I want God to heal me. We leave it to the person to decide - doctor and medicine or do you want divine healing? Do you want God to heal you? No, it does not work. You may get lucky, but there is no evidence whatsoever that there is a spiritual force that people can use to heal. James Randi has offered a $1,000,000 reward for anyone who will prove they can heal spiritually under controlled conditions to make sure they weren't using parlor tricks. I believe the reward has been up for grabs since the early 90s, with no takers to date. To believe in such nonsense is also very dangerous, and puts you at risk for not only getting scammed out of your money, but not getting proper treatment for certain medical conditions.

Yes i believe in spiritual healing. Well it cant heal diseases like a medicine does, but it cleanses your soul. Off the top of my head (specific scriptures if you need them, but they're easy to find): 1) We are to pray for the sick; the prayer of the righteous availeth much. 2) We are to lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. One whose ministry deals in great part with physical healing points out that Christians get hung-up on trying to heal someone and see instant results. The Bible says that ain't our job. We are instructed to pray and lay on hands. God does the healing.
