Mystical Angels

Isn't it odd that Republicans are the only ones who are comparing Obama to a mystical figure?

I've heard him called the Devil, the Chosen One, et al... You guys are not attacking his policies, are you? You actually elevated Reagan, Dubya to sainthood, so I think you guys might be dumbing down political debates, huh?

  1. what the....
  2. What did you think when he stood before the "temple" for his acceptance speech? Did the Republicans design his backdrop?
  3. Isn't it odd that you haven't seen any of the hundreds of "Jesus was a community organizer, Pontius Pilate was a governor" posts that have been flying through here today? Next.
  4. pardon them, they don't understand the policies. For instance, Obama's tax reform, which better benefits those making up to $250k a year compared to McCain. But why let an unbiased review by a leading business magazine swag you. You see how 'dumbing it down' has affected politics today.
  5. I support Obama...I do not think that his presidency would be a panacea dor all that ails us, but he is definitely better than McSame..
  6. When the Democrats stop weeping and fainting during Obama's speeches, then I'll agree with you. No one is attacking his policies because 1) he has virtually no record in the Senate, especially on controversial issues, 2) he morally equivocates on nearly everything, 3) when he does occasionally take a firm stand, he gets in trouble, and backpedals as fast as he can, like on NAFTA in the primary debate, and 4) he spends more time telling us what he isn't than what he IS. In other words, nobody really knows his policies! He's outlined a few, they have been discredited, and the rest is unknown.
  7. Wrong. Democrat Representative Steve Cohen of Tennessee on the floor of the House of Representatives: "I submit to you, Mr. Speaker, that the parties have differences. But if you want change, you want the Democratic Party. Barack Obama was a community organizer like Jesus, who our minister prayed about. Pontius Pilate was a governor. Thank you, Mr. Speaker." Oops.
  8. Actually, it was the Obama supporters who began comparing him to the "second coming". McCain supporters are just laughing at them, but Obama supporters can't tell the difference.
  9. They are attacking his proposed policies too. They are calling him a marxist-socialist.
  10. I believe some of us (ex-dems too) are referring to the way Obama's followers flock to him like a God. Justifying everything he says and does. When was the last time a political figure created such a stir? And this is because he is an eloquent speaker and a brilliant man? What a legacy.
  11. If anyone were to be called the Devil I'm almost certain he'd have a red tie and an elephant patched on his shoulder. These last 8 years have been pure hell, and naturally we can see who has been in charge for these last years. One thing the Repugnants are good at is deploying the age old rhetorical tactic of calling your opponent the very thing that you are. They ignore all the damage that has been done to this nation by a Republican GOP administration, and then blame it on the Democrats while using strong nationalistic talk to frenzy the people much like Hitler did to accomplish his goals. Not to mention swiftboating and election stealing
  12. At least they stopped calling him a "celebrity" and a "phase." Republicans are afaraid of change, therefore, they fear Obama. Fear of what they do not know is causing them to call names. Childish right? When I turn on the news, its like watching 3rd grade children on the school yard.
  13. Like most liberals you are a deluded by your own propaganda. In addition to what others already said here is a Democrat who ask if obama is The One even comparing him to Joan of Arc. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AoL.Q0dOaTEGM6eXJ1bfNYPty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080911235024AA7rUAu&show=7#profile-info-f9w7KbEsaa Lol.
  14. i don't see republicans clapping when he blows his nose, like i saw dems do one of his political rallys!
