tarot readers, help interpet 3 tarot cards

My friend did a small reading for me about this guy who was my friend but fell in love with me but now he's acting cold and igorant with me (he's had a previously painful relationship). I basically moved on and now I'm engaged.. (long story). But anyways I saw him yesterday and he seemed nicer and more normal around me than before. I got these cards: 1. What he thinks of me - 4 of Swords; 2. What he feels for me - 8 of Cups; 3. His subconscious regarding me - The Devil REVERSED. It's strange because last time the Devil showed up too but it was upright, this time it was reversed. I know it has a lot of meanings. My guess about the reversed Devil is that perhaps he's got suppressed feelings for me or something. I also know it can mean trying to resist temptation. But I'd rather hear how other tarot readers would interpret these 3 cards together. Thanks. We didn't speak for a long time mostly because he just stopped talking to me for some random strange reason. I just basically moved on because he did hurt me too.. and when someone's hurt me then it's hard for me to get back with them later. It was a bit awkward and strange to see him last night. He seemed a little glad to see me but at the same time he still behaved cold and was a bit sarcastic/meanie with me.. *sighs*. The worst thing is that he's friends with my fiance. That's what makes it hard. But under that mask of sarcasm I noticed he did have a soft spot for me indeed. I tried to behave as friendly and normal as I could as I never meant to hurt him in any way and don't wish to do so again if I did. I had asked him once if I did anything that hurt him and his answer was no.. oh well. He also joked around with me a bit last night. Like when I wanted to sit down on the couch he sat before me and laughed and stuff when I said "hey, I was about to sit there!" etc.

4. alan is right about the swords and cups...but to me the devil card being reversed- since it was the position of his subconscious--- he definately feels that you have wronged him in some way. he feels that you were the reason for whatever happened with you guys. since he is your fiances friend-- you need to make things right with him so you all can get along down the road... even if he says out loud that you didnt do anything, inside he feels that you did. i would just go to him and talk to him. tell him that you are very sorry if you did anything to hurt him and that you never meant to and that you would like for you guys to be friends that you want things to be better between you two.
5. 4 of swords means a time for recuperation, have you or him had alot of stress? 8 of cups means to walk away from a situation which is aided from a helpful blonde, and the devil reversed means like a release from shackles, breaking free, a change in direction.
6. 4 Of Swords= Resting after strife. 8 of Cups= He has walked away from the relationship. Going to find someone new. The Devil (reversed)= Being released from a situation, bondage, If you notice there is a couple that is shackled to the devil. You both are now released from the situation. Sorry he is over it. It's really for the best. Honestly you both were only hanging on for false security. You deserve better so, don't let this get you down.
