Does law enforcement hire psychics to help them solve crimes?

If someone could prove their 'psychic' abilities, would law enforcement hire them or would they simply arrest the person and believe they are part of the crime?

1. Psychics are a joke and people who are out there to get money. They want to be rich. If they did I would be very upset. Psychics are sinful. I would hope this would never happen. This world would become a scary place and less people would believe in God. God is the reason for living.
2. They have been known to assist, but it wasn't widely publicized. I've never heard of one actually help solve any crime.

You must be a lawman.I get the feeling you already know or you believe you are physhic too.They usually are not 'paid' but can be reimbersed for gas,use of their car & whatnot.These psychic's,if they can help at all,can get their pictures & names in local,state & country newspapers which people see & read & start charging all the folks who will come running to them for all kinds of reasons.Thus,they make ok money.Some end up on tv even.I do not believe in psychic's but to each his own.

6. Not usually...Most agencies aren't too concerned with solving crimes anyway. Unless it was a crime against someone with wealth or social position... They are only concerned with generating revenue...Tickets and seizing (Liberating, stealing etc.) private property...
7. I've been in the business over 30 years and I've NEVER heard of a psychic solving a crime. And think about it.... have you ever heard of psychic winning the lottery?? Why not?? I rest my case.
