- God-realization is a subset of mystical experiences.
- They are one and the same, albeit there is no God hence God-realization is nothing more than a mythical mystical experience.
- A mystical experience which does not reveal some aspect of the truth of Jesus Christ to you is one whch is not inspired by God but by the Devil and a true 'God realization' is one where you become aware of the truth, that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that he died on the cross in your place to save you from the penalty of your sins and to take you to Paradise forever, instead of you going into eternal Hell. "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Jesus said that in John 14:6 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Jesus said that in John 3:16
- If it's a separate God realization then it's a false experience. The point has been completely missed, that we are all connected. The links are visible to all if one only looks. The web of life joins everything and makes it one, the Universal Consciousness. We are God. We are all created perfect, an expression of beauty. We are such powerful beings that have unfortunately been so down trodden to the point of having no belife in our own self worth and value. Just think of the posibilities that we are capable of when we are unristricted and have total freedom. :) Practicing Shaman.. quantum physics rocks.
- instead of trying to "realize God"... why don't you try to love Him instead... 1 Cor 13 perhaps THAT is a mystical experience... but then again... Allahu a'lam.
- No difference. Anytime we recognize the existence of things beyond our realm we are realizing that there is a power greater than ourselves.
- Mystical experience is the reminder, pointer, that take us to the threshold of God Realization. Being with it, being that realization is God Realization.
- Both are same, as both not available to each and everyone but only to those who deserve and work for it.
- a mystical experience it what my teacher called "the spiritual candy", like the feeling of oneness, seeing visions of god like you imagine him/her, glimpses of the future, samadhis, deep changes of perception etc., they come and go, they are the sweet honey on the spiritual journey and we try to hold on to them or try to repeat them, but they simply happen by grace. bliss experiences are mystical experiences as well. god realization is the ultimate experience, it does not come and go, it is forever once it is seen, for it is the eternal principe in everyone of us. there is nothing higher than that and it is eternally here and now.
- When I look into my crystal ball is see mystical images. When I hear God I realised that I am dreaming again so I pinch my crystal ball and it tells me that yes I am dreaming the hole lot of it.
- I think im in the spiritual candy stage like unity in diversity said, but i kinda like it though, anywhere close to it is fine by me, dont want it to go away thats why i dont wanna embrace it fully, its ego yup i agree but its nice
- you could say they are the same in a way except god realization has a religion formed around it.
- A mystical experience is when you experience the mind of God. God realization is when you experience nothing else.
- Depends on the angle we look at these words it can either be the same or different or neither be the same nor different if they are related. However so called "God-realisation" is the liberation or the freedom from all/mind/universe where by having this knowledge, reflecting on the wisdom consciousness that we call GOD perpetually or just a glimpse which one has not completed the spiritual cultivation yet.
- The first is temporary, the second is a permanent state. Heyoka
