A Question for Fellow Tarot Readers?
I've been reading tarot for about half a year now and have really gotten some great results form it. Up until now, I've only done readings when I have a certain question about something. I'd like to start doing some kind of daily reading to help me both keep in touch with the divine and also to advance my reading skills. Does anyone have a daily tarot ritual that they do that works well for them? What kind of spread is it and what do the positions mean? Preferably something short (takes no more than about five minutes) but any suggestions are welcomed. Please refrain from answering this question if you do not read tarot. Any answers telling me tarot is evil or stupid will fall on deaf ears.

- Just pull one card in the morning to get a general feel for the day. I actually use a little piece of software on my iPod Touch that does this for me, so I don't have to carry cards around.
- I do a three card spread 1st-morning 2nd- midday 3rd- evening. Sometimes I pull a 4th for insight on how to deal with the problems I may face throughout the day
- Shyra you see, you are very lucky that you have not yet died in your sins
- Well, one I used to do was a daily meditation on a specific card, taking a single card, clearing the mind, and simply contemplating the card, allowing the card to reveal itself. It may be no more than visually inspired meditation, but there certainly is nothing wrong with that. Good luck! :)
- I don't do anything like that, but I know a few people who do. I'm familiar with some who just pull one card in the morning and sort of meditate on it. It's good practice for some because if nothing else, it builds a familiarity with your cards on an individual basis. Thinking of just one card a day is going to afford you the opportunity to get some good insight into that one card. You might browse around on this site and see what types of spreads might be good for such a thing. I'm betting there's probably an article about this very thing too - http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/
- If the cards came with a book look it up in that. If not then just do whatever spread and reading feels right to you. Try out the different ideas and see which works best for you. I do a different one depending on how I feel in the morning when I wake up. I usually do a reading and depending on that answer depends on which one I do. Ex: If i ask if it's going to be a challenging day and its a high probability then I do a three card spread. Just figure out what works best for you. That's ll I can say.
- Hey I'm gonna star this question because I'm still learning the tarot. I'm just a beginner lol.
