Are there any psychic mediums who claim they are able to help genealogists?

I've often thought if people really had the ability to communicate with the dead one of the most useful things they could do is help with family trees. Some keen genealogists spend years and bucketfuls of money trying to track down the birth or marriage of an elusive ancestor. Wouldn't it be nice if there was a medium who could give them a few clues where to look?

1. there is no such thing as mediums, people cant talk to the dead...they are dead, in other words they are rotting in the ground like an old banana and there is no spirit that floats around saying boo to people because they are bored.
2. Yes, now that would be novel. A medium actually performing a duty that is beneficial to society. You may have hit on something there Jonquill. Here is a way that one of these shonks oh, oops I mean mediums to make a real and honest business. You of course deserve a 20% comission on referals for suggesting it. Good job! (I can just hear the chorus now..."oh, it doesn't work like that" followed by the obligatory thumbs down to many of my answers in this section) EDIT: hmm, that is funny. The silence from all the people that claim to be mediums is deafening.
3. There are "mediums" out there who will help you with anything you want if you are stupid enough to part with your hard earned money. They are all frauds or deluded.
4. I do agree that if someone can communicate with the dead, then they should feel obligated to help genealogists. I do believe in the paranormal, but i don't "communicate" with the dead.
5. Yeah, that would be nice. Wonder if anybody ever thought to ask one...

On Sirius radio,there's a woman psychic(if she's still on) who can read you on the phone.Love advice,child rearing,employment everything.She can even describe your ancestors for you.Where they lived,worked and played.She knows their names and can give you messages from them.So yes,mediums do genealogical work.As long as one is a dolt or fool and doesn't verify their work.I suppose it can be quite comforting and informative.
7. Hello It simply doesn't work like that. lol my partner is doing his at present, so bet he wished that it was the case?! No Medium can demand information from spirit, they come forwards of their own accord when asked. It is a shame that it doesn't work the way that media etc portrays it! Sadhara
