Does anyone know the history and life story of Madam Lenormand the french fortune teller?

Her name is Marie Anne Adelaide Lenormand and from what I know she used to read cards for Napoleon and his wife. There are several fortune telling playing cards based on her original designs. I'd like to know the story of her life and about her fortune telling style. If anyone knows please...?

  1. Marie Anne Adelaide Lenormand (1772 - 1843) was a French professional fortune-teller, active for more than 40 years and of considerable fame in the Napoleonic time and after it. she claimed to have givenm cartomantic advice to many famous persons, between them leaders of the French revolution (Marat, Robespierre and St-Just) and to imperatrice Josefine and Zar Alexander. Since 1814 she started a second literary career and published many texts, causing much public contraversies. Variously she was accused and prisoned, but in each occasion released after short time. In France she's taken as the greatest cartomancer of all times, highly influential on the developing cartomancy wave, which took its begin in France in the late 18th century. After her death her name was used to a new developed divination card deck, the socalled Lenormand cards. These are still used excessively in modern Germany, nearly similar popular as Tarot cards in some regions.
