Mystical Angels

Which famous psychic would you like to see a movie made about?

And how would you portray the psychic? (Maybe a very mysterious character or a brilliant scientist, or perhaps a devious con artist trying to swindle folks).

  1. I'm not really sure about any famous psychics. Maybe a fictional character- a women who can see premonitions of the future, and finds our that she is going to be killed, but she doesn't know how. Then she goes on a long search for her killer, only to find out it is someone who she leasts expects. Who knows.
  2. Mina Crandon (link below) while she was almost without a doubt fraudulent it would be an interesting movie. A prominent socialite wife (her husband was a physician), there were claims of romance with (at least) one of her investigators, the movie would just have everything. Even Houdini once complimented (upon seeing her naked when she stripped for a search) that if anyone could raise the dead it would be her. What her motivations were (certainly not fame and fortune) would be an interesting part of the movie even if it would have to be pure speculation. Psiexploration
  3. They've already kind of made one about Allyson Dubois...on Medium. I like her a lot. Maybe Jean Dixon. . There was a psychic when things first started happening to me..I read her books..but can't remember her name . I'll google and if I can find it I'll edit and tell you...but I think Jean Dixon would be the most famous one..since she posted horoscopes in the newspapers. Edit...I think I found her..but this is all I could find...a book. Maybe this is the one I read. IDK. It was in 1981 and the book was in 1978. I thought it was older than that. Maybe she wrote another one earlier. Suzy Smith . Wish I could find more on her. I got the book from the Library. http://cgi.ebay.com/%22The-Conversion-of-a-Psychic,%22-by-Suzy-Smith-1st-Ed-%2778_W0QQitemZ110321542487QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ20081204?IMSfp=TL081204121003r15528

  5. I think I would like to see one on John Edwards which reveals him as a fraud who is trained in cold reading. There was a great movie called "Leap of Faith" (1992) starring Steve Martin which showed a lot of tricks in the form of Showman style Evangelism. I would like to see something like this down with John Edwards. He would never consent to it, as it would ruin his career.
  6. I would like to see a movie made about Ingo Swann, the creator of the remote viewing protocol and developer of controlled remote viewing. And it wouldn't have to be spun at all to present a marvelous and true-yet-fantastic tale. A kid growing up in Telluride, Colorado who has out of body experiences, spends a tour in the Army in Korea and becomes the bridge partner of Madame Syngman Rhee (wife of the South Korean dictator), moves on to work for the UN, becomes a widely-collected New York artist who gets invited to Andy Warhol's famous parties, then reinvents parapsychological research protocols when asked to become a research subject for experiments at the City College of New York and the American Society for Psychical Research, then is the subject in a psychic experiment that attracts the attention of the CIA, which leads to the creation of a secret government psychic espionage program in which he trains military personnel to use the power of their minds to spy on the Soviet Union... well, it goes on -- but what a movie that could make!
  7. For me it's a toss up between Russian telekineticist Nina Kulagina who taught herself to use TK (telekinesis) and Wolf Messing-- the man who had the gift of telepathic hypnosis. Messing could give a cab driver a blank piece of paper and make him think it was good money. The cab scene in the movie Firestarter was based upon Messing's gifts. Under strict supervision, Messing got 1 million rupels from a bank as a test; he also escaped from a maximum security prison using only his powers of mind control. Well established, well-known folks like Sigmund Freud and even Einstein believed in his abilities.
  8. Rasputin, though I think there is a movie about him.
  9. I'd like to see the famous psychic and healer Edgar Cayce. He seems to be the go to guy when someone mentions a "real" psychic. His excellent reputation among psychic-fans is second only to Nostradamus.Mainly because the fans neglect to take an open-minded look at his work.I'd portray him as a man who figured out a way to make a living without working. Nina Kuligina, that's a good one!!!
  10. Hmmm what about Sylvia Browne.
  11. Edgar Casey, he seemed to have more than a couple of skills.
  12. Sylvia Browne and John Edward in a movie together as a crime solving duo!
  13. Lorraine Warren I'd like to do a movie about her entire life. How she reacted the first time she realized she was psychic leading up to the present.
  14. Jean Dickson
  15. I'd like to see a movie about George Anderson. He's a psychic medium.
  16. Edgar Cayce, he was a very careful man and helped a lot of people. Still does.
