are horoscope love compatibilities always reliable?

i'm an aries... and i like my opposite sign.... apparently his sign is the worst for mine but we always seem to act so well together. should i not trust it will work?

2. your opposite sign is libra.. if libra is who your talking about lol i'm a libra, my best friend is a aries and my ex is a aries (we are still good friends) don't rely 100% on compatibilities i can't believe people come to the horoschope section just to diss others.

5. Give it a go anyway. Sometimes people with opposite zodiacs defy the odds. For example, I'm a Scorpio and I've been friends with a Leo for years, and apparently we're supposed to hate each other. It really depends, but people tend to relate to their own signs, so they believe that other signs with qualities that often tend to be their own sign's pet peeves, they assume they won't get along. That might be very hard to decipher, but I don't know how to explain it any other way.
6. No. :) For one thing, you can't do astrological compatibility with just Sun signs, or you're missing out on a LOT of information. How can you talk about love without Venus? :) You need to compare the full charts of both people, which requires the date, exact time and place of birth to calculate. Even with all the information, what astrological synastry (compatibility) will tell you are your needs/wants in a relationship, the other person's needs/wants in a relationship, and how well each of you fulfill those needs/wants. In other words, it can tell you what the good areas and problem areas will be, and helpful ways to emphasize the positives and improve on the negatives. It *cannot* tell you what the end result of the relationship will be: that falls under free will. There is no synastry so bad that it can't be made to work if both people are willing to work at it hard enough. There is no synastry so good that it can't be messed up by the laziness or carelessness of both people in the relationship.
7. Aubrey, contrary to what some people believe, one's opposing sign is not a poor match. Your opposite sign is Libra: Libra and Aries can certainly be compatible. In opposing signs, one often makes up for qualities the other lacks, and vice versa. This is not a bad thing. I'm a Pisces married for 28 years to Virgo (my opposing sign) and while we may be very different, we work well as a team. For instance, he's very conscientious and I hate being bothered with "minor" things like paying the bills on time: he sees that it gets done. On the other hand, our lives might be pretty cut-and-dried if it wasn't for my creative, impulsive streak. See what I mean? :) You can balance one another out.
8. Are you willing to abandon a possible great relationship based on what people say here? Astrology is ancient, made-up, unproven, and bigoted. No one has control over when they are born. To be stereotyped people this way is a bigotry similar to sexism and racism. Be what you choose to be, not what others want you to be. Learn to communicate and judge people by their actions, not their birthdays. If you believe in free will, astrology is pointless. If it's not science, it's superstition.
