Mystical Space Typhoon a Face-Down Dust Tornado?

I was checking a ruling of a card on the UpperDeck site, and it didn't quite answer my question and I can't seem to find it in the FAQ's. Though this sounds like it should work in my head because of how the Card Speeds in Chains would work, I am not entirely sure. The only cards involved are: DUST TORNADO, and MYSTICAL SPACE TYPHOON, and a FACE DOWN MAGIC (No Symbol). If someone Activates Mystical Space Typhoon on their turn and targets a Face-down Dust Tornado... Can the Opponent/Owner activate Dust Tornado on something before Mystical Space Typhoon destroys it because of the Chain, or perhaps Dust Tornado can target Mystical Space Typhoon so that its secondary effect of "Set 1 Trap or Spell card from hand." happens? I ask this because I can activate Dust Tornado if it wasn't targeting it and the card it targets doesn't get flipped up or destroyed yet so I assume I can activate the Dust Tornado in a chain even if its being targeted. To be simple, What would happen in this situation? Thanks. Question answered. Though I can't find the location to say its answered... True. Perfect example. Thank you. It would definitely work otherwise Heavy Storm wouldn't be able to be Countered if I wouldn't be able to use a Selected Card. Thanks! I can't believe how dumb my question sounds to myself now... T_T Been playing since Legend of Blue eyes and I made myself sound like I have been playing for a day. I'll be kicking myself for this one forever. ^_^

1. Yes both are possible, you can destroy a face-down spell/trap card and still have the setting capability or you can target MST just to acquire the setting capability. So yeah, you can activate face-down spell/trap cards even if they're targeted or will be destroyed (Heavy Storm) or will be bounced (Giant Trunade)
2. MST targets DS, and DS chains its effect to destroy the other card.
3. both the cards would be destroyed, but since mystical space typhoon is a quick play it would serve a purpose, and it's not really hurting you if you did it. Dust tornado would only destroyed any spell or trap, mystical space typhoon if used first and DT next, then obviously MS would cancel out the DT, it'd basically destroy both cards in a sense, it's pretty funny to keep mixing out situations like these. a real brain teaser xD
