When I get that feeling, I need Spiritual Healing?

So the church around the corner just changed their sign to read, "Spiritual Healing: Wednesday Nights 7PM" And it struck me odd that normal people fall for this stuff. I understand it, because I used to be a part of the lifestyle, but also remember getting the EXACT feeling when I was a beleiver, when I would pass Psychic Healing signs...... If you are a Born Again that participates in this modern form of snake oil sales and divination, can you tell me what the difference between your chanting rituals, and the chanting rituals of a psychic are, besides the name of the deity? Good Mood God - was going to send you a message but you don't accept them. I actually do have a clue, spend quite a bit of time in many evangelical/spirit filled churches, even visited Bethel a time or two when I lived in CA. I understand it offers people hope. But so does Psychic readings and healing, so back to the question. What is the difference? I am sorry that the comparison offends people, but the lack diliniation in the answers supports it being asked. Mrs. Strength, if God requires human belief for action, I must question his existence. Mrs Strength - Thanks for your statement about my pride, I always find it a little humorous that believers always revert to name calling when the existence of God is questioned, but understand it, because that type of bad behavior is supported directly by the bible. I do hope that you are one day able to see with clarity, how harmful your philosphy and belief system truly is.

5. The Bible tells us to bring the sick to be annointed by oil by the elders and by the faith of their prayer the sick shall be healed. I doubt you wanna read it, but if you do it is in the book of James. Its one of those things you either believe or not. Take care,
6. There is nothing to "fall for" as you put it. Jesus is the only way for anyone to obtain spiritual healing. You accepting it is your personal choice. Others like myself have found and experience it through Jesus, so we know Its real.
7. I would interpret "spiritual healing" as meaning they are trying to bring people closer to God, not that they are making promises or selling snake oil.
8. You must be thinking of the Appalachian snake handling pentecostals. I'm Pentecostal but don't believe in handling snakes, because that test God and the Bible teaches against that. Spiritual healing is very real, I have seen others recieve it and I also have. God is willing to do anything for you as long as you ask and believe. God is the only one that can heal you.
9. Blessed cheesemaker God is real and he able to heal. But you must have faith and believe. You said that you used to be apart of the "lifestyle". Once you have been exposed to the light no matter how u try to cover it, You can still see it. You don't believe in him and he still wakes you up every morning and puts breath in your body.But because of pride you don't see him blessing you each and every day, Even though you have turned away from him, He is still giving you a chance. Your heart is hardened that's all .
