- If you are writing a book you can't take these ideas and make them your own. Create something yourself. Try an anagram site. Plug in a word and then it will give you a bunch of words made out of it. I'm sure some of them will fit for a mystical world. Or look up country names and play off some of those. Be creative, but more importantly, create it yourself.
- I agree with madi. It will feel really good to finally get the name all by yourself without other peoples help. It will help you write about it too!
- Look to the stars. A lot of "strange" world names are taken from star names, especially those of languages other than English. For example, the strange desert planet Arrakis in the Dune series is taken from an arabic star name. Look up Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, Hindi, and Polynesian star names and see if they give you any ideas. Mythology can also provide a lot of inspiration.
- Aldeon, Corideo, Emerta, Myrdon Just combine regular names, or spell them backwards, or take one and add a suffix like -on onto it. And if the magical world has dragons in it, for example, you can do a name search meaning for that and then spin something off it. Or use Greek/Roman gods (like Wesley said) or Latin words or a name of a mythical creature. Fantasy name generators are good too. It's seems hard but it's really not. You just have to know where to start.
