Do you think the world will end December 21, 2012?
I recently watched a show on the History Channel (What, i'm a History dork) that said that the Bible, Mayans, Merlin, the I Ching ( A chinese type fortune teller type book) , a Roman Oracle, and a computer all predicted that the world will end in this generation, but i myself am don't entirely convinced.

- Yeah just like it did on January 1, 2000. (y2k) No, the world will not end on 12/21/12.
- With it being the end of Obama's first term there is a good chance its true
- Well, if you think about it...the Mayan callender predicts the world will end on December 21 of the year 2012. However, every prophet who claimed the world would end has never been correct in their assumption. My answer? No. I don't believe it will happen. Damn, man...I'd only be 20.
- No <<drink>> Absolutely not.
- As far as Jesus coming back ( and that will be when the world will end and those who are saved in Him will reign in the New Jerusalem (heaven) ) The Bible says that NO ONE knows that day or hour. (Mark 13:32, Matthew 24:36) NO ONE knows- so if anyone is trying to convince you that they know please remember that NOBODY knows--- only GOD. But the Bible does tell us to be ready- to continually be seeking Him in prayer and word- following Christ as we need to be doing. Many do not believe and the word needs to be shared- the gospel of Christ- we who are saved need to remember to continue sharing it in love with all~
- LOL!!!! really??? December 21, 2012?? Dang it!!!!!!! y 4 days before Christmas!?!!? Nahhhh never gana happen :] I think we should sue the History Channel for showing that crap :[[ it makes people panic.... Just like Jan 1 2000 That was sooooo stupid....
- im entirely with mandolyn winter wonder land, 100% no one knows except for God
- No only God knows the answer to when the world's coming to a end, but as far as my opinion goes, i believe the signs of times are near which is happening already, but there are still many things to come before Christ makes his 2nd coming, so all i am saying is that date may or may not be the end of the world, but i'm planing to live my life getting ready for which ever happens on that day God Bless
- No. One of several Mayan calendars is the Long Count calendar, which is reset to day 0 every 1,872,000 days or 7057.5 years. The next reset date, by some calculations, is December 21, 2012. This is not a prediction of the end of the world. Ever since the Y2K and 6/6/6 (June 6, 2006) End of the World scenarios did not pan out, the scare mongers, conspiracy theorists, book sellers, and television executives have been touting the 2012 End of the World scenario. When 2012 does not happen either, I am sure they will think of something else. "But of that day or hour, no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be watchful! Be alert! You do not know when the time will come." (Mark 13:32-33) Jesus told us in no uncertain terms that we were not to know when the end of the world would come but that we were always to be ready. The early Christian Church thought that Jesus was going to return at any moment. Only after a couple of centuries did the Church realize that it may be 2,000 or 4,000 or 8,000 years before Jesus returns. The Catholic Church wisely follows Jesus' advice and teaches that each of us should live as if we will meet our maker in the next ten minutes and that we need to work to make the world a better place for our 100 X great-grandchildren. Do not worry about the end of the world. Trust God to make sure everything happens to plan. Just be ready to meet God at any time. For more information, about what Catholics believe about the end of the world, see: http://www.americancatholic.org/Newsletters/CU/ac0993.asp With love in Christ.
- Not me. I'm not exactly sure when the world will end, but DO think Barack Obama is the anti-christ.
