Trying to understand some aspect about tarot reading cards, please help?

I am trying to understand how to read tarot reading cards and what is the significant of their dramatic change. I previously got the Sun for relationships/romance and later I did meet a guy, and he seems great, I felt the sun card predicated some future event ie. meeting him. Although I am not quite decided on anything as I am still getting to know the person, and now I am getting the Chariot for relationships, in addition to the King of Cups (the one who loves but fears) . Do the cards change as you go with events? I know it has to , but there is no big fixed concept at least as a theme in life that will happen? And I used to get the wheel of fortune, now my major arcana cards are not exactly that great, how do I know I missed my chances for a fortune change or not?

The easiest way to find why they are changing would be to just ask "What is causing this change?" The Wheel of Fortune, by its very nature, is not permanent. If you want to learn more about reading tarot you might try reading the book The Cartomancer's Key to Tarot by Talia Felix; I think that would have a lot of information you'd find helpful.
