Can I legally open up a spiritual healing business?
I want to help people suffering from depression and/or anxiety. I would help them realign with their higher self in order to bring joy and inner peace into their lives. I used to suffer from depression and anxiety and I no longer do after undergoing a spiritual transformation. I would love to offer my services for free, but if I am going to dedicate all my time I am going to need to earn a living. I would only charge somewhere around $50 per hour session. My aim would be to 100% cure any person from mood disorders. Plus I have a bachelors degree in Psychology so it wouldn't be as if I am out of touch with the medical aspects of these disorders. Also, this idea comes from the purest heart-felt of intentions. I genuinely care for others and would absolutely love it if I could spend all of my time doing what I love most--helping other people find true happiness. Zach, Thank you for your opinion, but what about all the people who attend sessions with therapists and are still hurting? I do NOT want to scam people...I would work very hard with them to find and reconnect with their inner strength, light, and love. I don't expect you to believe me because you don't know me...but if you did you would know that I am not wanting to do this for any reason other than to help others if they wished. I lived the first 22 years of my life with depression and anxiety so I only feel compassion, love and empathy for others that still are.

- It would be legal as long as you didn't make false claims and did not insinuate you were in the medical field.
- I know many who have done this we are in the UK though , so not sure how this sort of business would go down elsewhere but usually what happens is that they train up in things like CBT or Alexander technique along with some spiritual healing like Reiki etc and involve many aspects of therapy into the same practise it works well I wish you luck and hope you help many people xx
- Yeah charge $50 to stupid and/or people who are at impressionable times in their lives when they really need to see a psychiatrist and a real psychologist. You'll fit in nicely with the rest of the criminals scamming to take people's money.
- I agree with the idea of blending your psychology background with certain spiritual healing practices. One lady I used to go to had a homeopathy business, taught Tai Chi, and engaged in some spiritual methods of healing as well. What it really comes down to is faith though. If someone comes to you without the faith that you can heal them, you won't be able to, no matter how spiritual you are. It is only when they open themselves up to allow you to heal them spiritually that anything can come of it. I wish you the best in your practice. Blessed be! ~Embracing my Pangelism
- As long as you don't involve religion you'll be fine. Also, keep in mind just because you were healed one way, doesn't mean your way is the umbrella depression cure. I would investigate many types of healing. I'll recommend you some books that put my mind in order. Wherever You Go There You Are by Jon Kabat-Zinn and Still The Mind by Alan Watts. Try reading those books and see if you still have the same motives. If you really care about someones well being, you will not go through with this until you have proper training. I don't mean you need to waste money at industrialized school systems that teach conditioned knowledge... I think you would be better off with a mentor in the field. Apprenticeship would serve your needs better. It sounds like you're in this for self fulfillment. It's great that you have the intentions to serve. But approach it with mindfulness, will you be doing more damage than good? Will they really appreciate what you have to offer? Are you doing this for self satisfaction? Are you mindful and honest with you self at this stage in your life?
- you lived the first 22 years of your life with depression and anxiety and you think you're capable of providing spiritual healing? Lol. Listen to yourself and make the logical choice. You would do more damage than good.
