Chiron role in synastry ?

I am just wondering if any of you astrology folks consider chiron as an equally important factor in synastry ( and composite ) as other typical planets ? Since Chiron is about healing and is a connection between physical and spiritual consciousness, and I think relationship is also about healing. How would Chiron be interpretated when it makes an aspect with the other person's planet ( Sun, Moon , Mars, Venus ... )? Please feel free to share your knowledge about this ( examples are greatly appreciated ) Thanks in advance Thanks RA that was very helpful ...excellent thank you Thanks Jamie, will consider that book , it looks good ( on a side note , please erase your comment on my recipe's Q hey. Thank you)

  1. Chiron is the person who pulls off your band aid really fast, but then kisses it better. Okay, feeling inspired, I think:) Basically, there are two ways in which this can pan out. The Chiron person has deep seated psychological or emotional scars. Which of course is not to say that the Chiron person is any less balanced than the other person, it's just that it's their emotional baggage which is likely being addressed in this instance. The person who has the other planet in aspect to the other person's Chiron can bring this wound into the forefront for the Chiron person. Sun in aspect to Chiron for example, can "shed light" on the nature of the Chiron placement. If the Chiron person has not addressed these issues previous to the relationship, this is likely to be a painful experience for that individual at first, as the person with the other placement is likely to dredge up a lot of stuff which the Chiron person in all likelihood has pretty deeply buried and really doesn't spend a lot of time looking at in the first place. Through the way the other planet individual expresses whichever planet is in aspect to the Chiron placement, they bring these isssues to the forefront for the Chiron person to try to deal with and work through. It's also possible that the Chiron person has already addressed these issues, and sees something in the way the other planet person expresses that planet's energy which they feel is reminiscent of their own deepest wounds. In this instance, the Chiron person having already dealt with these wounds themselves, they would then seek to help the other planet person express that energy in a healthier way. There are a lot of mitigating factors as far as how this would pan out though, Ryan. A lot depends on the aspect which is being made between Chiron and the other planet in question, and also upon where each individual is in their own progress before the relationship.
  2. I consider Chiron to be very important. That could be because it aspects almost everything in my chart. So when someone else's planet hits my Chiron, I feel it everywhere. It's not an entirely pleasant experience but it is necessary. I have an open question about Pluto and Chiron in synastry just to get some input from others. Severel years ago, I found a synastry book which includes Chiron aspects. It is buried in a box right now. Here a link to it and a search for Chiron inside it. http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/1561704717/ref=sib_dp_ptu#reader-link I highly recommend it to anyone interested in synastry.
